Trump vs Hillary — Embarrassment vs. Evil
Everyone knows I’m not a Trump supporter. He’s personally embarrassing. He has embarrassed the Republican Party. He has embarrassed the country. He’s right about many things. And he did much better at the second debate. But it doesn’t matter. Unless there’s a miracle, he’s going to lose to Hillary. He’s going to be defeated by the weakest, most unlikable, least trustable candidate the Democrats have nominated since, well, her husband.
Libs Bypass the Facts Machine
They call themselves “progressives,” but on science, liberals are anything but! From climate change and stem cell research to fetal pain and gender, the relationship between the Left and the facts has always been a rocky one. For years, liberals have been quite content to throw overboard any evidence-based realities if it moves the needle on their agenda. They’ll ignore the facts, and if that doesn’t work, they’ll silence the fact-finders.
Walmart: ‘All Lives Matter’ Bumper Sticker Is Offensive
For the past nine months Domagron, a family-owned business, has been selling “All Lives Matter” bumper stickers on Walmart’s online marketplace. But on Oct. 11 the company received a notice from the nation’s largest retailer that the bumper sticker had been removed from its marketplace. The notice implied that the bumper sticker had violated the company’s “prohibited products” policy.
If You Reject Hillary & Trump, Here are Some Options
In my post earlier this week, I attempted to make the case for what happens when one votes for the lesser evil and how that ultimately results in a continued race to the bottom of the barrel. If this year’s election proves anything, it should affirm that truth, with a couple of candidates who may be amongst the most depraved and immoral ones in our nation’s history.
Evangelicals Without Standards
Lanny Davis must be dizzy from the deja vu. Davis was a stalwart defender of Bill Clinton during the scandals of the 1990s. Little did he know that the excuses and rationalizations made for Clinton then would be repurposed by some of Clinton’s harshest and most moralistic critics for a Republican presidential contender.
The Politics of Destruction
Yesterday I referred to the “Anita Hills” coming out and making accusations against Donald Trump. Some readers replied that while they knew who she was, their children and grandchildren may not know. So, I think it is worth taking the time to remind you that what is happening now is not new. On July 1, 1991, President George H.W. Bush nominated Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court. Immediately the left-wing complex declared war against him. They could not allow a conservative, pro-life black man on the highest court no matter what had to be done to destroy him.
It’s Time We All Grew Up
Last Friday was quite a news day. We finally got wind of what Hillary Clinton was telling the sharks of Wall Street for $250,000-a-pop. At the same time, we got to hear what Donald Trump says about women behind their backs. I don’t want to sound as if I’m bragging, but I wasn’t the least bit surprised by anything I heard or read. I mean, did anyone really think the Wall Street scumbags were coughing up big bucks to listen to sermons advising them to give up their money-grubbing ways if they ever wished to enter the Kingdom of Heaven? Sermons delivered by the biggest money-grubber in America?

Still Voting for Trump; Must Defeat Clinton
Each passing day, this presidential election becomes more distasteful, but that doesn’t relieve me of my duty to do what I believe is right. During the primaries, there were 17 GOP candidates, and I chose the one I believed would be the best for America. Now my realistic choices have been narrowed to two candidates — Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton — one of whom will be the next president. What does this mean for me? Well, some people on the right faced with this binary choice have concluded they can’t in good conscience vote for Trump, no matter how bad Clinton is. Some acknowledge that Clinton is terrible but believe that Trump could do more damage to conservatism and thus the nation in the long run — even more than a Clinton presidency at this precarious moment in our nation’s history.
Billy Bush Is Collateral Damage in Trump Tape Controversy
To say I care about Billy Bush’s career is overly generous. If you’d asked me two weeks ago who he is, I doubt I could have given an answer beyond, “The name is familiar,” or, “Isn’t he on one of those shows?” And by “those shows,” I mean that undifferentiated hog trough of “Access Hollywood,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “TMZ,” “Inside Edition,” etc. But now, of course, I know who he is. He’s the cousin of George W. Bush who’s made a living in the worlds of infotainment, gossip, celebrity worship and distaff daytime “news,” to be found in the crucial third hour of NBC’s “Today.” He smiles a lot, too.
Democrats Get Desperate
Just as we predicted, the “Anita Hills” are now coming forward. The New York Times broke a story overnight [Wednesday] about two women who are accusing Donald Trump of sexually harassing them. One woman said he kissed her in 2005 and another woman said he touched her on a plane 30 years ago. For his part, Trump dismissed the claims as “fabricated,” “fiction and outright lies.” First, The New York Times is not exactly the most credible source. You may recall that during the 2008 campaign, the Times accused John McCain of having an affair with a lobbyist. The lobbyist sued and the paper eventually settled. Trump is reportedly planning a lawsuit against the Times.
The War on Women Is Back
It’s been nearly a week since the Access Hollywood tape helped to persuade key parts of the nation that Donald Trump might have a character problem. “Would you vote for a sexual predator?” asked New York Magazine. “Donald Trump Versus Hillary Clinton: Choose Your Sexual Predator” headlined The Federalist. Yet, while rumors are flying that other shoes remain to drop, only a few women have so far come forward with stories of loutish behavior by the Republican standard bearer. Natasha Stoynoff’s is the most disturbing. She alleges that she had visited Mar-a-Lago for a People magazine spread on Donald and Melania Trump (who was then pregnant). While Melania left the room to change her clothes for a photo shoot, Stoynoff recounts, Trump pushed her against the wall and “shoved his tongue down (her) throat.” He backed off only when the butler announced that his wife was returning.
Planned Parenthood’s Store Losers
Planned Parenthood may not turn 100 until Sunday, but some of America’s companies have already given them quite a gift. Knee-deep in scandals ranging from selling baby body parts to systematically violating patients’ privacy rights, at least 37 corporations have no trouble funneling big bucks to the country’s richest abortion business. Despite all of the bad publicity — even worse ethics — and possible illegal activity — Planned Parenthood continues to cash in on the lie that it offers some of America’s best women’s health care.
Lessons for My Children
For the first time, my wife and I have had to consider what might happen if we both died and left our children behind. These are not the thoughts any parent likes to think about... but here we find ourselves. Starting in January, I found myself out of breath more and more. I chalked it up as allergies until April. By mid-April I was out of breath merely by climbing into bed. It turned out my lungs were filling up with blood clots. Even now, six months later, I have not recovered from the damage done. In June, my wife had two small growths removed from her lungs. By September, doctors had confirmed she has a rather uncommon form of lung cancer.
The Media-Clinton Collusion Exposed
We once scoffed at the suggestion there was some form of a liberal media conspiracy against conservatives. Do liberals meet for breakfast and plan attacks on their ideological foes? Of course not, we’d answer. It’s not a conspiracy. It’s a mindset wherein what is liberal is good, and what is conservative is in opposition to what is good. Apparently it was a conspiracy after all. The latest emails emerging from WikiLeaks have brought in the evidence. There is an unquestionable collusion between “objective” journalists and the Clinton campaign. Leaked emails show that her operatives discuss which reporters were the most pliant recyclers of their narratives (they picked Maggie Haberman of The New York Times). But reporter Mark Leibovich — also from the Times — gave Clinton’s communications director, Jen Palmieri, veto power over quotes to be included in a Clinton profile in July.
Only Gridlock Can Save America Now
When Republicans lost the presidential election back at the Republican National Convention in July, many elected GOPers feigned support for the Party’s doomed nominee in an effort to placate the base and hold their majority in Congress. After watching Donald Trump’s “Access Hollywood” tape (honestly, does anyone believe this is the last, or most odious, of the October surprises?), some of these candidates have decided the gambit wasn’t worth it. So naturally, Trump has targeted down-ballot races in his own party — people like House Speaker Paul Ryan and Sen. John McCain. As it turns out, cult leaders are less concerned about the long-term philosophical aims of your political party than they are about your personal loyalty and subservience.
Donald Trump’s Invisible Shackles
“It is so nice that the shackles have been taken off me and I can now fight for America the way I want to,” Donald Trump tweeted at the reasonable hour of 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Shackles? There were no visible shackles on Trump when he launched his several-news-cycles-long assaults on Judge Gonzalo Curiel in May, Khizr Khan and his family in July and Alicia Machado in September.

The second presidential debate — bloody, muddy and raucous — was just enough to save Donald Trump’s campaign from extinction, but not enough to restore his chances of winning, barring an act of God (a medical calamity) or of Putin (a cosmically incriminating WikiLeak). That Trump crashed because of a sex-talk tape is odd. It should have been a surprise to no one. His views on women have been on open display for years. And he’d offered a dazzling array of other reasons for disqualification: habitual mendacity, pathological narcissism, profound ignorance and an astonishing dearth of basic human empathy.
Meet Hillary’s Basket of Deplorable Anti-Christian Bigots
Some of Hillary Clinton’s top campaign staff appears to hold a deep reservoir of contempt for Catholics and Evangelical Americans, according to the latest batch of WikiLeaks emails. The new revelations came from a 2011 email exchange between Campaign Chairman John Podesta, Communications Director Jennifer Palmiere and John Halpin from the Center for American Progress. The emails portrayed Conservative Catholicism as a “bastardization of the faith” and seemed to imply that Evangelicals are a bunch of impoverished country bumpkins.
The All-Out Assault on the First Amendment
The Constitution has long been subject to attacks from individuals hostile to its guarantees of freedom, economic opportunity, and limited government, but in recent days no other provision has been as widely and intensely attacked as the First Amendment. From the IRS targeting conservative groups to those trying to limit the ability of Americans to freely practice their religious beliefs, to membership organizations being forced to disclose their donors, the First Amendment is being assaulted on all sides.

The Agony of the Republicans
Less than a month before the election, the Republican speaker of the House says he won’t defend or campaign with his party’s presidential nominee. The nominee has responded by slamming the speaker on Twitter, and his campaign manager is accusing some (unnamed) elected Republicans of sexual harassment against her.
