Or, a least it's a no brainer if employers care anything about making a profit. But if you listen to Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail, we are being asked to believe that is exactly what is happening. And it's not just one employer. In order for there to be persistent differences in what men and women are paid for the same work, entire industries have to be discriminating.

Actually, it is not the political system that is broken. It is much wider than the political system. It was inevitable that Bernie Sanders would be accused of sexism sooner or later. His day came over the weekend. At the signature Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Iowa, Hillary Clinton hit the Vermont senator for saying in the first Democratic debate that "all the shouting in the world" wouldn't keep guns out of the wrong hands. According to Clinton, Sanders had directed a notoriously sexist insult at her - although not one of the 15 million people watching at the time had noticed it.

Nothing new there. Nothing to see here. Time to move on for good. That was the attitude of most in the mainstream media to the 11-hour questioning of Hillary Clinton by the House Select Committee on Benghazi. It was not the prevailing attitude, as I remember, toward the hearings of the Senate Watergate Committee or the impeachment debate at the House Judiciary Committee (on whose staff Clinton served) 40-something years ago.
Who's More Shameful, Hillary or Her Media Protectors?
Isn't it just great that the liberal establishment views Hillary Clinton's testimony in the Benghazi hearings in terms of performance art rather than substance? That's the liberals' way of telling you how much they value integrity. It would be one thing if the mainstream liberal media said, "Clinton got caught red-handed in a number of lies, and not just on insignificant matters but on very important ones, but overall she held up well under pressure, and because of her performance, the hearings may actually be a net plus for her."

"We know the attack had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack, not a protest ... Based on the information we saw today, we believe that the group that claimed responsibility for this was affiliated with al-Qaeda," she told Egyptian prime minister Hisham Kandil that same night. "There is a gun battle ongoing, which I understand Ansar as-Sharia [sic] is taking responsibility for," she told the Libyan president while the attack was going on.

The former secretary of state refused an invitation to testify in private, as other witnesses had done, probably because she thought her appearance would benefit her presidential prospects in at least three ways: She could make the Republican committee members look inept; the major media would protect her, and average people would not pay attention; if they did, they would believe what the media told them. She was right on all three counts.
