Blessed Assurance: Message Is Fine...
God isn't the enemy, but He's sure been treated like one on some military installations. At Marine Corps Base Hawaii, activists have one mission: booting God from base. But thanks to commanding officer Sean Killeen, it won't happen without a fight. For weeks, a secular group with nothing better to do than harass the military has demanded that a sign come down that says, "God bless the military, their families, and the civilians who work with them."

Planned Parenthood's 'Fix'? Making Fetal Harvesting 'Free'
Cecile Richards may have just opened a can of worms.

Army Petitions Sarge Ahead!
The Pentagon may not have Sergeant First Class Charles Martland's back, but more than 130,000 Americans do! Since the Bronze Star winner came under fire for roughing up a child rapist in Afghanistan, Martland is building his own army of support. More than 130,000 Americans are standing up and demanding the Green Beret's reinstatement for doing what most of them would have done in his place: protect an innocent boy.

Speaker Scramble
House Republicans were scheduled to meet behind closed doors [Thursday] to choose their nominee to replace John Boehner as speaker of the House. Daniel Webster of Florida and Jason Chaffetz of Utah had declared, as had House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. [Wednesday], former Vice President Dick Cheney and former Speaker Newt Gingrich endorsed McCarthy, who was widely expected to emerge as the caucus nominee.

Foxx and Friends Debut New Panel
There's plenty of uncertainty about *who* will be leading the House — but not quite as much on *where* they'll lead. One of the biggest priorities of the new speaker has already been decided, thanks in part to [Wednesday's] vote to turn up the heat on Planned Parenthood. Now five investigations into the ghoulish organ harvesting business, members say the only thing they're left with is more questions.

Houston Still Has a Problem
Houston Mayor Annise Parker (D) promised not to make homosexuality an issue in her administration. Instead, she's made it *the* issue — around which everything else revolves. As the leader of the fourth largest city in America, Parker jumped at the chance to use her power in support of her own personal LGBT agenda. An open lesbian, the mayor has tried to bypass the laws on marriage, declared Valentine's Day "Freedom to Marry Day," and forced through the most radical piece of special rights legislation the city has ever seen.

Cutting Off Funding to Planned Parenthood Doesn't Violate the Constitution
Some critics of the attempt to stop federal funding for Planned Parenthood, the nation's number one abortion provider, are now making the erroneous claim that to do so would be unconstitutional. However, that claim, as expressed by Drexel law professor David S. Cohen, who says that cutting off federal funding would be an unconstitutional bill of attainder (a legislative act punishing someone without a trial), is nonsense.

Obama/Putin: No Contest!
The buzz around Washington, D.C., is that we are entering a new cold war with Russia. My response: Don't worry! Be happy! There is no new cold war. To have a cold war, two sides must realize they have conflicting interests and each must want their interests to prevail and be willing to compete. As of now, Russia, under President Vladimir Putin, understands that. But he has no opposition in an America under our lame President Barack Obama. A cold war would actually be an improvement over what we have now, which is a global American retreat in the face of Russian and Iranian aggression.
Planned Parenthood Fact-Checks Planned Parenthood
"We do not have mammogram machines ... and we've never stated that we did."

The GOP Is Overmatched
If for some reason you needed additional evidence that the Republican Party is deeply incompetent, unprepared, uncoordinated and inexcusably lazy, then try watching Cecile Richards' appearance in front of Congress earlier this week. Now, I get that these kinds of hearings are normally a waste of time, but in this instance, the GOP had some good reasons to project competence. This is, after all, the issue that's generated so much tension within the party of late. An effective showing — something resembling a smart prosecution — might have allayed a bit of the percolating discontent. Yet there Republicans were, facing a CEO whose organization performs vivisections on humans and harvests baby brains, and the best they could do most of the time was alternate between slow-pitching Richards some hangers and ensuring her martyrdom.

The Baby Butchers and Their Media Butchers
"I'd say a lot of people want liver." The propagandists of Planned Parenthood don't want you to remember that earlier this summer the group apologized for the "tone" of one of its top officials, Deborah Nucatola, who casually hawked unborn baby parts to undercover journalists from the Center for Medical Progress as she swilled wine and chomped on a salad. Not long after confessing that the "tone" of their butchers might cause offense, another top Planned Parenthood trafficker, Mary Gatter, joked about scoring a luxury car after haggling over $75 baby-organ price tags.

Planned Parenthood Can't Handle the Truth
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's questioning of Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards exposes the depravity and dishonesty of her organization. Richards and her colleagues act like cornered criminal defendants whose only defense is to dissemble and counterattack their accusers, for the truth is not in them. Planned Parenthood piously holds itself out as a benevolent, quasi-sacred entity, selflessly devoted to improving women's health. It has consistently denied critics' claims that it performs no mammograms, but at the hearing, Richards unremorsefully conceded the charge and pretended she never said otherwise. And it's not just about mammograms. Americans United for Life has shown that under Richards' leadership, there has been a marked decrease in cancer screening and breast health services while there has been an increase in abortion.

Beware the Celebrity Baby Deniers
As Planned Parenthood boss Cecile Richards prepared to testify to Congress about the filthy business she leads — thanks in large part to an infusion of a half-billion dollars in federal funds every year — her marketing team tried to change the subject to everything else. They put out a video coaching young people how to make sure they get full consent before sexual activity. This is ironic, considering the Center for Medical Progress tapes include an insider saying Planned Parenthood routinely failed to seek the mother's consent before "donating" the parts of her baby to fetal tissue researchers.
Spending $500 Million to Deprive Children of Life
Republicans are asking the wrong question of Planned Parenthood.

GOP Can't Win in 2016 by Losing Now
Some Republicans in Congress will never learn. This time the GOP's hard-right conservative minority had dreams of shutting Washington down over Planned Parenthood's illegal profiteering in fetal tissue from its abortion business. They hoped to defund Planned Parenthood of its half-billion in annual federal dollars by attaching a measure that did exactly that to a larger spending bill. They thought their legislative trickery would force President Obama into vetoing the spending bill, thereby shutting down the government in Washington.

The Republican Party's Big Choice
On Tuesday, members of the House Oversight Committee grilled Planned Parenthood head Cecile Richards over undercover videos linking high-ranking employees with illegal sale of fetal body parts. Under heavy questioning, Richards admitted to supporting sex-selective abortion, acknowledged that the vast majority of Planned Parenthood's nongovernment revenue springs from abortion, and awkwardly attempted to explain away the organization's alleged willingness to utilize special abortion techniques to preserve "samples" from the killed unborn. That night, Speaker of the House John Boehner, R-Ohio, announced that he would fully fund Planned Parenthood.

'Get Out'
The decline of America's influence under Obama is accelerating. Fox News reports that "Russian diplomats sent an official demarche [a diplomatic demand] ordering U.S. planes out of Syria." That demand was issued as Russia launched its first airstrikes in Syria following a unanimous vote by Russian lawmakers to approve President Vladimir Putin's request for the use of force. Putin is going to war, and he's telling America to get out of his way. How flexible will Obama be this time?

Republicans Fail at Hearings — Again
Dear Republican Members of Congress: Consider this an intervention. You guys do not understand how to hold a decent hearing. Hillary Clinton danced away from your Benghazi questions like Muhammad Ali. Your threats to hold more hearings on Planned Parenthood and Benghazi are about as frightening as President Obama's warnings to Vladimir Putin that "doubling down on Assad would be a mistake." Within hours of Obama's feeble bleat, Russian planes were dropping bombs on the Syrian resistance (not, it should be noted, on ISIS). Putin's Russia, once described by John McCain as a "gas station pretending to be a country," is now running circles around Obama — rushing to fill the power void left by American abdication in the Middle East.
Surprise! Planned Parenthood Doesn't Do Mammograms
Don't take our word for it. Cecile Richards says so.

Putin Takes the Lead
A number of world leaders addressed the United Nation's General Assembly [Monday]. But one man stole the show and made it clear that he was willing to fill the vacuum left by America's retreat under Obama — Russian President Vladimir Putin. As one New York Post columnist put it: "Obama has turned Putin into the world's most powerful leader." Even the usually sympathetic left-wing media could see it too, evidenced by this headline, "Putin Steals Obama's Thunder On the World Stage."
