War on Women: Planned Parenthood Killed About 438 Unborn Baby Girls Per Day
Rep. Gerry Connolly — who represents Virginia suburbs that rank among the wealthiest communities in America because they are populated with Washington bureaucrats, lobbyists and federal contractors — is a classic example of the modern American elitist. Or to put it another way: He is a leftist ideologue on the public payroll. When Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards testified in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee this week, Connolly fervently attempted to present himself as a champion of women.

Planned Parenthood's Cecile the Lyin'
While businesses start closing the books on another fiscal year, Congress is fighting to close the books on taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood — permanently. Caught in a scandal with an unprecedented "ick" factor, organization President Cecile Richards took the stand for the first time to try to justify the grisly baby harvesting ring her group has been hiding.

Defunding Planned Parenthood Takes Leadership
House Speaker John Boehner, who will step down at the end of October, said on "Face the Nation" Sunday, "We have got groups here in town, members of the House and Senate here in town, who whip people into a frenzy believing they can accomplish things that they know, they know are never going to happen." The Speaker was referring to the latest threat by conservative Republicans to hold up spending authorization for the government if it includes $500 million in taxpayer funds going to Planned Parenthood.
Congress Plans to Continue Unconstitutional Redistribution
If we're going to shut down government, let's stop all such spending.

GOP, Let Obama Shut It Down and Own It
Establishment Republicans inside and outside Washington miss the grassroots' point. Even if we don't eventually prevail with defunding Planned Parenthood, we need to take this issue to the American people. Establishment types believe that just as we are finally poised to recapture the White House, crazy tea party extremists are about to mess everything up because voters would blame and punish the GOP in 2016 for a shutdown. But they always tell us to wait until the next election. When we didn't control the House, they told us to wait until we did. Same with the Senate. Now they say we have to wait until Jeb Bush is president.

Failure Theater in the Senate
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has scheduled a vote for Monday that would fund the government through Dec. 11. The vote would *not* end taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, but rather kick the can down the road for two-and-a-half months. Make no mistake: If Planned Parenthood is not dealt with now, Congress will have zero political will to take up the cause in December. America's largest abortion provider, which performs an abortion every 90 seconds, is currently embroiled in a controversy stemming from a series of undercover videos. Delaying the debate until Christmas break is a time-tested tactic to avoid wrestling tough budgetary issues.

Appeals Court Rules in Favor of National Abortion Federation Over Pro-Life Group That Created Planned Parenthood Videos
This week, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) in a discovery dispute with the National Abortion Federation. CMP is the group of citizen journalists responsible for producing the undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood's practice of selling baby parts. This decision may end up being a costly one for CMP because it allows the National Abortion Federation to attempt to bury the group with discovery requests. Discovery is a pre-trial procedure in which parties can seek to obtain evidence for their case.

Leftmedia Finally Covers Planned Parenthood Videos
Thanks to their compulsive need to "correct" Carly Fiorina.

It's Not Fiorina Who's Wrong in the Planned Parenthood Fight
"Anyone who has watched this videotape, I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama to watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking while someone says, 'We have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.' This is about the character of our nation, and if we will not stand up and force President Obama to veto this bill, shame on us." —Carly Fiorina, GOP presidential debate, 9/16/2015. The videotape in question was put out by the Center for Medical Progress, an anti-abortion group that went undercover to record Planned Parenthood officials discussing the buying and selling of organs and tissue from aborted fetuses — some just shy of 20 weeks — to medical research companies. Fiorina's description of what takes place in the videos has come under withering attack. Sarah Kliff of Vox.com labels Fiorina's version of the scene as "pure fiction." PolitiFact says it is "mostly false."

The Character of a Nation
Holly O'Donnell is hardly a household name. If the GOP-controlled Congress had an ounce of political backbone, she'd be the most famous woman in America. Ms. O'Donnell is a former procurement technician at StemExpress, one of Planned Parenthood's (PP) most reliable customers, until they cut ties with the organization in August. "We value our various partnerships but, due to the increased questions that have arisen over the past few weeks, we feel it prudent to terminate activities with Planned Parenthood," the company said in a statement at the time. "While we value our business relationship with Planned Parenthood, that work represents a small percentage of our overall business activity and we must focus our limited resources on resolving these inquiries."

Hearing Impaired
[Friday], in a loud and chilling statement, every Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives but five voted against a measure that protects babies born alive after a failed abortion. Thankfully, Rep. Trent Franks's Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act passed the House anyway, with unanimous Republican support. The bill makes it a criminal offense for an abortionist to allow a born alive infant to die, whether by neglect or by actively killing the child.

Life of the Party...
[Wednesday] night wasn't just the second GOP presidential debate — it was the second round of strong performances by Republicans on the sanctity of human life and the importance of religious liberty. Unfortunately, under the same bifurcated format as Cleveland's, some of the field's best torchbearers on the issues were relegated to a smaller forum earlier in the evening. Personally, I think everyone would have been better served had the stage been set for *all* of the candidates.

Senate Continues Arms Wrestling
Could America be facing another 9/11? Lawmakers trying to stop President Obama's Iranian deal think so. With two procedural votes in the win column for the president, conservatives are looking through every weapon in their arsenal to keep one of the most dangerous Middle East regimes from using theirs on innocent Americans. Although the administration is still withholding information on the agreement's side deals, what Congress does know is enough to scare anyone.

Ted Cruz Is Right on Planned Parenthood Funding
Ted Cruz is once again talking about government shutdown. This time it is about funding for Planned Parenthood. And once again it is not going over well with some in his party. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has called a strategy to withhold funding for the federal government unless taxpayer funds are pulled from Planned Parenthood an "exercise in futility."

Message in a Battle
In my new book *No Fear*, I tell the story of Lila Rose, who, as an 18-year-old UCLA student, walked into a Planned Parenthood clinic in Southern California with a mission to expose the illegal activity of the nation's largest abortion provider. Her courage to stand up for life has played a key role in bringing our nation to where we are today: 10 installments into the Center for Medical Progress's undercover videos of Planned Parenthood. We are without excuse when it comes to what our laws and tax dollars are facilitating — the trafficking of aborted baby body parts. The question now is whether Republican leaders have the courage to walk into the Capitol and challenge President Obama over his commitment to keep the federal dollars to Planned Parenthood flowing.

Planned Parenthood's 'PR Disaster'
"This could destroy your organization and us if we don't time those conversations correctly."

Haley's Comment: Gov. Fires Back at Planned Parenthood
Not everyone agrees with Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) that Planned Parenthood is "one of the finest organizations in America!" Just ask Governor Nicki Haley (R-S.C.). Like several other states, South Carolina was so appalled by the group's black market for baby parts that it launched its own internal investigation of Cecile Richards's group. What it found was nothing short of shocking. According to the state government's report, the President's favorite abortion group exhibits the same disregard for laws that it does for lives. The state's Department of Health and Environmental Control [DHEC] discovered so much wrongdoing that it had to temporarily shut down operations.
