In case you missed it, on the culture warfront of the gender devolution revolution, the absurd has collided with the surreal — again.
USA Today, a leading Leftmedia propaganda organ of the socialist Democrat Party, is infamous for its “fact-checks” targeting conservatives for social media platform penalties. They are among the leftist MSM outlets selected by the BIG Tech oligarchs’ First Amendment suppressors to give the pretense of legitimacy when silencing views that don’t comport with their leftist orthodoxy.
Notably, when they have targeted The Patriot Post, we have documented that USA Today “fact checkers” fail to fact-check their own fact-checks.
On that note, this just in from USA Today…
As the nation’s self-appointed arbiters of truth, this week USA Today announced its “Women of the Year,” and among the actual women on the short list was a pretender, Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services Rachel Levine, formerly known as Richard Levine, married with two kids. USA Today featured him among its list of “strong and resilient women who have been champions of change across the country, leading and inspiring as they promote and fight for equity, and give others a place to seek help and find hope.”
That’s right — the man whom Joe Biden chose to, in Levine’s words, lead “the nation through this greatest public health crisis,” the COVID pandemic, is a USA Today “woman” of the year.
Clearly, the “fact-checkers” at USA Today need a reality check-in from their woke alternate universe. Of course, the editors are just chasing after circulation, as were Glamour magazine (Caitlyn Jenner as its “Woman of the Year”) and Time magazine (Michaela Jae Rodriguez as one of its women of the year) before them.
I am reminded here of George Orwell’s line in his dystopian novel, “1984”: “The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
For Levine’s part, he insists: “We need to be welcoming and celebratory for women of all aspects, of all sizes and shapes. And we have to work towards that compassion for all women and not put such an emphasis on thinness and appearance. I think that we need to work as a culture in the United States, but also globally, to be more compassionate and more accepting of girls and women, no matter what their size and shape.”
That’s special.
On the importance of women, “Admiral” Levine adds: “I think women are often the creators of change. In terms of the changes that we see in our society and our culture, I think that women are those change-makers.” Responding to his selection as a “woman” of the year, Levine said, “It is so wonderful that we have a president, President Biden, who supports us, who advocates for us and who sees us.”
Unfortunately, far more esteemed publication than USA Today are trying to redefine “woman,” by not even using the word.
The Left’s struggle with gender confusion – simply defining the word “woman” and using it in context, manifested in this “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” entry from the “follow the science” experts at the once-esteemed British medical journal, The Lancet: “Historically, the anatomy and physiology of bodies with vaginas have been neglected.”
That’s right, you can avoid referencing the gender distinction of “woman” by noting “bodies with vaginas.
Levine is one of the two most visible men among the Biden administration gender dysphoric political poster children — those whom he holds up as models of normalcy.
The other is Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, who identifies as the "wife” of Chasten Buttigieg. The latter was busy this week indoctrinating Florida children with his gender confusion at a homosexual youth camp, where he led the recitation of the pledge to the rainbow flag: “I pledge my heart to the rainbow of the not-so-typical gay camp. One camp, full of pride, indivisible, with affirmation and equal rights for all.”
That’s special.
The latest addition to Biden’s merry band of gender benders is a “non-binary drag queen,” a self-described “kink activist” who is now in charge of nuclear waste disposal for the Department of Energy. (We can’t make this stuff up.)
That DOE appointment comes as Biden and sidekick Kamala Harris, the tag-team duo supervising the Russian invasion of Ukraine, are requesting $2.6 billion in taxes confiscated from U.S. citizens to promote their worldwide gender equity agenda.
Outside of the Beltway, the Rainbow Mafia has two primary targets this week, gauntlets to their “transgender” agenda.
The first is Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who has issued a directive to prosecute parents who arrange “transition” puberty blockers or “sex change” procedures for their young children. Anyone suggesting that arranging such blockers or mutilation is anything other than child abuse, is in a deep well of denial.
Second target is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who signed into law a Parental Rights in Education bill, which the Demos and Leftmedia are denouncing as the “Don’t Say Gay Bill.” In fact, what the bill does is prohibit the use of sexually deviant material being used to promote gender confusion in children, grades K-3. That is why Chasten Buttigieg was in Florida leading the “gay pledge”!
The conservative pushback against absurd manifestations of the Demos’ gender identity agenda, just one chapter from the leftists’ identity politics playbook, is long overdue.
At its core, that agenda is designed to dismantle the foundational pillars of American Liberty — marriage, family, and faith.
Their agenda is now so entrenched in some quarters as to allow serious consideration of surreal questions like “Can men get pregnant?” and “What is a woman?”
These surreal absurdities notwithstanding, I have written sincere considerations in for discourse in response to gender disorientation pathology – pathology that is anything but “gay.” Only 5.6% of Americans self-identify as “gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered,” and that number has increased in recent years because the categories get broader. However, to be clear, there is no such thing as “transgendered.” The word itself constitutes an egregious and intentionally deceptive adulteration of science.
Following the science and the obvious, there are in fact only two genders, female (XX) and male (XY), despite protestations by heterophobic gender deniers that there are many more. Every individual, from conception to death, regardless of elective surgical alterations or personal pronouns, will irrevocably and unalterably be male or female. A gender dysphoric individual can “identify” and call himself or herself whatever he or she wants, but asking society to standardize and comport with his or her gender disorientation is absurd. The notion of so-called “gender reassignment” is equally fallacious.
There is a proliferation of men competing as “women” in sports and shattering records set by women, now including even Olympic competitors. One of those record breaking men, University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas, declared, “I’m a woman, just like anybody else on the team.”
Well, actually, no.
As a result of this faux cross-gendering assault on womanhood, there is a growing resistance movement to gender adulteration from an unexpected quarter: leftist women. It’s about time…
Protesting Thomas’s most recent NCAA championship participation, Amy Sousa, leader of Save Women’s Sports, declared: “I am a lifelong registered Democrat who ultimately feels politically homeless. With the whole Biden election, I began to feel more and more disenfranchised from Democrats as a party, and I began to feel more and more that they did not represent my beliefs or my views. I was historically liberal. I would say I’m politically homeless now because I don’t think the Democrats care about women and girls.”
They are objecting to what, in effect, is an assumption that anything a woman can do, a man identifying as a woman can do better.
A leading national objector to the “trans” assault on women is Kara Dansky, a feminist lawyer and president of the U.S. Chapter of the influential Women’s Human Rights Campaign.
A lifelong leftist Democrat, Dansky declares: “My party has been pushing this gender identity agenda in law and throughout the society, and it’s terrible for women and girls. The obliteration of the material reality of biological sex should scare everyone. … Every single person is either female or male, there’s nothing wrong with saying that … How many women and girls have to be hurt before our society … and our lawmakers and laws acknowledge that? The movement to promote the idea that men can be women is fundamentally anti-feminist, it is anti-woman and it is very politically regressive. … I know at least two women who voted for Donald Trump last year because of this issue.”
Dansky, the author of The Abolition of Sex: How the “Transgender” Agenda Harms Women and Girls, writes: “It is not an exaggeration to say that the United States is in crisis about the meanings of the words sex and gender. We are all victims of this crisis, but the primary victims are women and girls. Throughout U.S. law, the word sex is being completely redefined to mean ‘gender identity’ or ‘transgender.’ Congress is doing it. The Biden administration is doing it. The federal courts are doing it. Most Americans have no comprehension of the implications of this, due to no fault of their own. Very few media outlets will permit us to talk about it. Yet feminists have been talking about it for a long time.”
She concludes: “Feminists have a saying: We cannot protect women and girls on the basis of sex if we cannot say what sex is. My hope is that lawmakers across the political aisle will get a grip and right the wrongs that have been perpetrated in the name of ‘gender identity.’ Every single human being is either female or male. No one ‘is transgender.’ It’s long past time that lawmakers across the political aisle and members of corporate media said so.”
She and some other high-profile individuals are finally emerging to confront the Demos’ “gender identity” orthodoxy. And the leftist homosexual mob is fighting back, attempting to cancel them.
World-renowned Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, not a conservative, has boldly and repeatedly insisted that there are two genders — “If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased.”
That led to her being labeled a “TERF,” a “trans exclusionary radical feminist.”
Right. I think Rowling should wear that as a badge of honor!
The mob is targeting leftist entertainers who have broken ranks, including Dave Chappelle, for daring to declare there are two genders.
Students are being suspended if they suggest there are only two genders.
And, even commercial conservative media outlets like Fox News are self-censoring their reporting to avoid any loss of advertising revenue. Nothing “fair and balanced” about that dirty little secret.
Where to from here?
In Biden’s recent State of the Confusion confab, he declared: “For our LGBTQ+ Americans, let’s finally get the bipartisan Equality Act to my desk. … As I said last year, especially to our younger transgender Americans, I will always have your back as your president.”
Biden’s so-called “Equality Act” is the bastard child of his White House Gender Policy Council. It’s a pandering legislative effort aimed at firming up votes — particularly the votes of a large number of “white-privilege” suburban women who sympathize with the “gay” agenda.
But, the rising opposition suggests that Biden and his fellow leftists have overplayed their gender card, as have their gender card players.
Democrats and Republicans who underestimate the growing “trans” agenda opposition do so at their own peril.
Bold Republicans are stepping up to protect young women in dressing rooms and sports. Recently, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed legislation barring men from participating in women’s sports, becoming the 11th state to do so. Of course, such legislation is framed as “anti-trans” by the Leftmedia rather than pro-woman. Notably, two Republican governors, Arkansas’s Asa Hutchison and South Dakota’s Kristi Noem, found out the hard way that hedging on this issue will cost them.
