“One mistake of many wealthy parents is making things too easy for their children, particularly by giving them everything. Love must be unconditional, and it must be displayed with wisdom. Thus, loving parents will teach their children that God grants material blessings through honest service to others (also known as work), and those blessings are to be earned with gratitude. They should not envy or begrudge others with more, nor be contemptuous or condescending to those with less. For that is what may be behind much of limousine socialism — a condescending attitude. Far too often, inherited family businesses are run into the ground by children and grandchildren who did not create those companies from the ground up, and therefore did not understand the importance of product excellence and service.” —Minnesota

“Well stated. I'm glad we aren't so focused on its use (or abuse) by law enforcement that we forget the full power is in the hands of Flock itself. One additional note: Because Flock uses public land for commercial purposes, I find the argument that we can't do anything because ‘it's a private company’ to be ill-founded.” —Michigan
“If Flock cameras only scanned and then notified the police when they got a hit on a number logged in the system, then I'd be perfectly fine with them. Recording every single plate into a massive database is not okay. Red-light cameras only captured cars entering an intersection a fraction of a second too late, and even those have been banned all over.” —Texas
“Consider how easily Flock cameras can be used to restrict our freedoms — how easy it would be to identify people attending the 'wrong' political rally, worship ceremony, or other event. “I believe Flock cameras need to go. Last year, I received a citation in the mail from the Aurora, Colorado, police department for speeding. I was a little surprised because I haven't been to Colorado since the early '90s. A couple of days later, I received another notice to pay a toll from the same city in Colorado. The toll notice had no mechanism for appealing the fine. Luckily for me, my local sheriff is a great guy. I sent him everything I had, and he took care of the mess for me. He contacted the chief of police in Aurora and got all the citations removed. The sheriff told me this wasn't the first time this has happened to residents in our county; he has had to deal with law enforcement in several states over this issue.” —Montana
“In 2020, on the same day as the COVID lockdowns, I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. My savings at this time had run out, and I applied for SSDI because of other problems. I was told to apply for VA Disability as well, as I am a Navy veteran (my cancer was linked to my service). Between SSDI and VA Disability, I make enough to live comfortably. My cancer has been in remission now for six years — and, God willing, I will live for another 20 years, at least. But without these programs, my wife and I would be living with my younger sister in the house I grew up in, looking to her for support.” —Illinois

“Amen. I encourage believers to set up a prayer board. I have God’s direction for the leadership of my nation and Israel at the top. Family, friends, and neighbors are next (leave room for each person's specific needs), followed by requests from prayer groups (these groups comprise more than just the people I know personally). It is wonderful, as our Lord completes prayer requests.” —Montana
