“This is not the first case in which ‘public opinion’ has weighted the scales of justice. The Minnesota trial of Derek Chauvin and his fellow officers regarding the death of George Floyd is an example. After the trial, at least one of the jurors admitted fear of the consequences of an acquittal, because it was obvious that a not-guilty verdict would be used as an excuse for expanded rioting and other violence. It would have helped if public officials such as Governor Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey had publicly called for everyone to respect the verdict before the jury began deliberations, but having sparked riots all over the country with their unfounded charges of ‘systemic racism,’ they were not about to backtrack.” —Minnesota

“Stringing the process out until it’s too late to protect the next election from fraud has been the objective of Democrats in Congress as well as those taking court action. The SAVE America Act may indeed be passed through the reconciliation process in the next several weeks, but it will be immediately blocked from taking effect until 2028. And then the Democrats will try to block it in the courts, claiming without evidence that it is ‘voter suppression.’ When that happens, it would be a great benefit for a judge to dismiss the case and impose sanctions for frivolousness. The Constitution clearly gave Congress the power to override state election laws with weak or nonexistent protections against fraud in voting for federal offices, and that is probably why that power was provided. The courts are not the place for losers of political questions to force their opinions on the majority when the winners have not violated any rights.
