Trump signs security deal with Greenland
President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed a landmark deal with Greenland concerning a strategic and economic alliance. He also announced plans to build two U.S. military bases on the large island, bolstering America’s military presence in the Arctic Circle. Trump had famously floated the idea of the annexation, so this deal also eases Greenlandic anxieties about a possible acquisition of the territory. The agreement respects Greenland’s autonomy and opens the door to massive amounts of American investment in the area, so on paper it is a win-win scenario. On top of the existing Pituffik Space Base, the U.S. will build bases at Narsarsuaq, a Cold War-era airbase that is undoubtedly being remodeled, and Mestersvig, which is currently being used by Danish Special Forces. Ideally, this will level the chessboard against Russia and China in the Arctic.

South African refugees
The U.S. is trying to deport, not import, immigrants at the moment, but the Trump administration is making an exception for white South Africans known as Afrikaners. The administration made a point in 2025 to highlight the ongoing genocide of Afrikaner farmers, even confronting South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on the subject. While most refugee programs are currently frozen, 17,500 refugee spots will be allocated for 2027, with those spots going “primarily” to Afrikaners. These farmers face seizure of agricultural property, unequal treatment before the law, and hateful rhetoric fueling disproportionate violence. The U.S. expects to spend $500 million resettling these refugees, who are expected to fully assimilate without living off taxpayer funds. The official notice also added that the U.S. “does not anticipate other countries resettling Afrikaners.”

Trump brings more Flock cameras to DC
Despite nationwide backlash against Flock cameras, the Trump administration is installing more of the license plate readers around Washington, DC. Officials did not say where the new cameras would be located, but several websites provide maps of the locations. The Interior Department claimed it would destroy data after a short time, limit access to the cameras, and only use the surveillance for “legitimate and documented law enforcement activity.” Flock cameras use AI to scan license plates and remember people’s vehicles and travel patterns. Officials defended the installation with statistics: police have used the cameras to solve crimes, such as child kidnappings. Even so, many advocacy groups and even some in Congress are pushing back on Trump’s decision.

Kagan hands baby to abortion-seeking couple
Justice Elena Kagan ruled not to accept a high-profile court case involving questions about surrogacy and abortion, effectively solidifying the lower court’s ruling, which gave a child away to a couple who wanted to abort him. These people, who shall not be named as parents, as they do not deserve such respect, had hired a surrogate to carry their baby. When that baby was diagnosed with heart issues, the contracting couple demanded that surrogate McKenna West abort the baby. West refused and moved to Texas, where the baby was born. A lawsuit was filed, and while the child was able to receive the medical care it was due, lower courts have since ruled that the contracting couple gained custody of the child. While this case was appealed to the Supreme Court, and it does tackle a very unique issue, Kagan denied the case, effectively giving a child to a pair of aborters.

Netanyahu vs. Mamdani
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is visiting New York City for this week’s UN General Assembly. Mayor Zohran Mamdani has repeatedly criticized Israel and accused Netanyahu of genocide against the Palestinians. Earlier this year, Mamdani floated the idea of arresting Netanyahu when he visited New York, then backed off on the threats. Just ahead of his visit, Netanyahu fired back, condemning Mamdani for antisemitism and supporting terrorists. “Shame on you for supporting the Hamas terrorist monsters who butchered our people,” Netanyahu said on social media. “Shame on you for inciting riots against New York Jews.” Later at a press conference, Mamdani replied, saying Netanyahu lied and should be held accountable for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Spanberger sparks outrage after sneakily ending women’s sports protections
Many parents in Virginia are rightly enraged that a regulation proposed by former Gov. Glenn Youngkin to bar males from girls’ sports was surreptitiously shut down by current Gov. Abigail Spanberger. The rule, which was in a years-long approval process, was supported by the Virginia Board of Health, but the board’s chairwoman said she had no idea it had ended. Spanberger did not issue a press release or an announcement when she dropped the regulation in late July, and the news only surfaced this week. The move was “classic Spanberger,” said one delegate. “Say one thing, do another, don’t tell anyone, and ignore them if they ask about it.” Democrats claim to care about equal rights and empowering women, but their actions speak for themselves as they stomp all over women’s right to privacy and a fair playing field.

ObamaCare fraudsters ousted
Yesterday, Vice President JD Vance announced that his White House Fraud Task Force would remove 750,000 fraudulent ObamaCare recipients from the program. This removal would save U.S. taxpayers $2.2 billion. Vance said, “To put into context the amount of money that we’re stopping from going to fraudsters today — $2.2 billion — the average American child receives about $4,000 in healthcare benefits every single year. That means that we are saving 550,000 American children’s worth of healthcare that was going to fraudsters and now will go to the essential services for which it was meant to go.” This is a massive victory in the Trump administration’s attempts to eliminate fraud so it can provide medical services only to Americans who actually need them.

Canadian MAID euthanasia outpaces U.S. gun murders
Since the launch of Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying program in 2016, conservatives, Christians, and anyone with a functioning conscience have been warning of the dire consequences that would follow a euthanasia program. One consequence is a slew of stories of the elderly being pressured into the program without consent — in other words, elderly people being murdered. The newest consequence is that Canada, with a population one-tenth that of the U.S., now kills more people with MAID than die by gun homicide in the U.S. In 2024, 16,499 Canadians were killed by their government (5% of all Canadian deaths that year), while 15,364 Americans were killed by someone with a gun. Not to be outdone, “Death with Dignity” is currently legal in 13 U.S. states and Washington, DC, including New York, which has its own MAID program.

Post office worker dumps mail-in ballots
A federal grand jury indicted Damon Seei on charges of unlawful secretion, destruction, and delay of mail. Seei was arrested last week. In June, the former Utah U.S. Postal Service worker allegedly tossed 300 mail-in ballots in a dumpster instead of delivering them in time for the state primary. Acting Deputy Attorney General Trent McCotter used the incident to emphasize election integrity. “When American voters lawfully cast their vote, they should feel confident that it is counted,” McCotter said. “Allegedly throwing away hundreds of ballots is a serious federal crime that undermines the integrity of our elections. Ballot integrity is not a partisan issue.” President Trump recently tried to restrict mail-in ballots for the November midterms; last week, the Supreme Court rejected his executive order. The Justice Department also announced several cases of illegal noncitizen voting and fraudulent voter registration.

El-Sayed’s campaign outreach backfires
The supposed Shifman “Jews” shilling for Michigan Democrat Abdul El-Sayed’s Senate campaign in a video over the weekend are actually left-wing activists for an anti-Israel organization called Jewish Voice for Peace that stands in “full solidarity with Palestinian resistance.” Abdul was attempting to distance himself from the anti-Israel streamer Hasan Piker and atone for some of his previous comments regarding the terrorist attack on a Detroit synagogue by filming himself celebrating the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah in the home of two “Jewish Michiganders.” It turns out the mother-daughter duo is the chickens-for-KFC type, as they define “being Jewish” as supporting Palestinian statehood. That would mean a state run by a terrorist organization that wants all Jews dead. The backlash to the video was swift. Abdul’s staged act and alliances only increase the Michigan Jewish community’s concerns about antisemitism and their safety.
