In addition, many Christians persecuted in the Middle East can no longer enter the country. “Yes, illegal immigrants broke the law by coming here — but then-President Joe Biden told them that they were welcome to come and look for a new life. Did they even know they were breaking the law? Then, when they get here, government-funded nonprofits signed them up for benefits. Those immigrants who have built a life here, worked hard, and would make good citizens are too often considered the same as violent criminals by conservatives. Is there room for a registration and review of illegal immigrants in our immigration system that rewards illegals who have committed no other crime and have actually helped make our country great, with at least the right to live and work here, without welfare? “If ‘AI [can] kill us all,’ then the developers are at just as much risk as the rest of us. It’s their pet tiger, so it’s their responsibility and liability to make sure it’s safe. What is really needed is an international discussion on the use of AI combat systems to ensure the principles of the Geneva Convention are maintained. In a similar vein (and the U.S. is already on the issue), each national government should have protocols for vetting the output of AI intelligence analysis to avoid going to war on a hallucination or other wrong report. These are government uses matters first, with contractor liability determinable by customary practice.” —Minnesota
