Re: Holdout Clancy Juror’s Lawyer Warns of Sixth Amendment Threat

“‘Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man.’ This is the fourth commandment God revealed to humanity, following Genesis 1:28, Genesis 2:16–17, and Genesis 2:24. This commandment applies to man-killing animals as well as human murderers, and was delivered in response to the violence before the Flood. There is no exemption for insanity. However, the Law of Moses did not apply capital punishment in every case of unintentional manslaughter, except when men fighting with each other accidentally injured a pregnant woman; if the child died, this became a capital crime (Exodus 21:22). This underscores the seriousness of killing another human. This case causes me to question whether an exclusion for insanity and Massachusetts’ prohibition of the death penalty are misguided mercies.” —Minnesota

Re: Democrats Block Popular Bills, Leave Town

“There is none so blind as those who will not see. The Democrats have shown their rear ends so many times in the past few months, yet no one seems to care about it. The nation’s work must get done somehow, but these people take a summer break (just before the end of the fiscal year, when some of the most important work is due) to go stumping for more campaign money so they can continue to slurp at the public trough. I try to be as open-minded as I can, but I would never encourage my great-granddaughter to marry a politician.” —Texas

Re: Is ‘Let’s Go, Brandon’ Profanity? Supreme Court May Decide

“I have a frat brother who was fond of asking (tongue-in-cheek), ‘Where’s the food?’ He even wore a T-shirt emblazoned with ‘WTF.’ We thought it was hilarious, but maybe some people didn’t. That’s their problem, not ours.” —Texas

“To illustrate how teachers may have different views of what is offensive, in the late 1980s, I was teaching a zero hour (6:30–7:30 AM) physics class. The class contained the 36 best math/science students in a high school of 1,200. One of my students had a haircut that the senior English Seminar teacher thought to be disruptive. These 36 students traveled from class to class together, so they went from physics to AP Calculus to AP Government/Econ to Senior English Seminar. None of the other teachers, including me, saw any disruptions to the learning environment in our classes, but because of one teacher’s complaint, the student was suspended for three days. The suspension removed the student from the valedictorian list.” —Arizona

“Since the T-shirt has become a political soapbox on its own, then ‘Let’s go, Brandon’ is no more offensive, as many of those worn in school condemn people’s political and religious tenets. Perhaps there is a hint of TDS in the school authority?” —North Carolina

Re: Jack Smith Gets Grilled

“Senator Cruz’s examination of Smith shows why he would be a fantastic jurist on the Supreme Court and should be considered for a nomination after 2028. For his part, Smith repeats the same old, same old — a completely rational justification for his prosecutorial witch hunt if one understands his bias and purpose. Leopards don’t change their spots. That said, this examination of his motivations is near complete — there’s nothing to be gained by much more of this congressional analysis. If charges are to follow, let the Justice Department make that determination, whether by congressional referral or not.” —Michigan

Re: Immigration Might Be Trump’s Biggest Success

“ICE is tasked with removing illegal aliens from the United States. I would say ICE has performed admirably. Alex Pretti and Renée Good should not have been interfering with official government business. Why protest ICE? They are law enforcement officers doing the job they were hired and trained to do, enforcing bills passed by Congress and signed into law by the president. Pretti, Good, and the rest of the protesters ought to be protesting Congress so they can change or repeal the laws. Crowd control is something left to local law enforcement officers.” —North Dakota

“These immigration shenanigans, mostly perpetrated by Democrats, would all become a moot point if it were possible for them to turn, by the Grace of God, from their despicable and desperate ways. The fact is, they cheat to win. Anyone dispute this? Washington is a hornet’s nest crawling with a whole host of petulant, greedy, self-absorbed narcissists. And they’ve got the sweetest gig in town for sure — anything goes, and they just keep going! We’ll just have to see how November goes. Keep praying for the good guys to squash the bad guys. We will all find out soon.” —North Carolina

Re: Nick Freitas, American Patriot

“I know Nick, and your profile was spot on. He is the real deal. It is good to remind your readers, amid all the contentious mainstream media ‘news,’ that there is so much goodness among us that really reflects the spirit of America!” —Virginia

Re: Profiles of Valor: PV Henry Johnson (USA)

“Shamefully, I had never heard of Henry Johnson, though he is from my home state of North Carolina. Thank you for this and all of your Profiles of Valor.” —North Carolina
