Transgender ‘Health’ Is Anti-Science
The so-called experts in the field are hiding the whole truth from young people and their parents.
It is no secret that gender ideology is entrenched throughout American society. It is in cartoons, classrooms, libraries, doctor’s offices, and grocery stores — in every department, from clothing to toys to household products. We hear it from teachers, counselors, and medical providers. Teenagers trade pronouns like we used to trade baseball cards. Changing one’s gender has become as normal as changing one’s wardrobe.
The hope would be, of course, that those who keep pushing the idea that it’s possible to change your sex or refrain from claiming a biological sex at all are doing so because they believe there are enough positive outcomes to justify their position.
However, after independent journalist Michael Shellenberger dropped the WPATH Files last week on X, we have learned not only how horrifying many of the outcomes for gender patients have truly been — but also how hard the experts have worked to hide the outcomes, side effects, and unexpected developments like cancer, from both future patients and their parents.
WPATH is the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. If we are to believe the repeated and unshakable assurances of this organization and others, puberty-stopping drugs don’t have long-term side effects, and “transgender” adolescents fully understand what they’re signing up for. Yet the leaked correspondence between the organization’s top medical advisors tells a completely different story. Among many things, we learned of their true knowledge of the permanent harm these potent prescriptions and procedures are causing, and that there is no way for their young patients to grasp the lifelong repercussions of these choices.
If the standard for the gender activist community is to follow the advice of those who know these issues best — as WPATH would be regarded — and if the healthy growth and development of these kids is truly the priority, then it stands to reason that going forward, therapists and doctors would set higher standards for individuals to qualify for these treatments. Advisors at the school level would also recognize a necessity to reconsider the teaching of these particular concepts about sex and gender as a normal way of thinking.
Fortunately, some people are interested in following science and being led by reason, logic, and compassion. For example, there’s the sudden announcement by the UK’s National Health Services that the country’s gender clinics would no longer offer puberty blockers to children, but that these drugs could still be accessed through a patient’s informed participation in a clinical research trial.
As Health Minister Maria Caulfield made clear, “Ending the routine prescription of puberty blockers will help ensure that care is based on evidence and expert clinical opinion and is in the best interest of the child.”
There is also confirmation from authorities in America about the permanent mental and physical damage and the lack of informed decision-making — partially due to the lack of maturity in the child and partially due to the significant amount of data being withheld from them. Nevertheless, the Left is adding more coal to the engine and driving the trans train forward with no sign of slowing down.
A New Mexico mom shared her story about moving her family from New Mexico to Missouri, after learning that the high school her daughter attended offered “gender inclusive” closets. These closets are stocked with accessories and clothing for students to access, so anyone who wishes to can change out of their parent-approved outfit and into clothing that they feel expresses their true gender, all without their parents’ knowledge.
Aside from the relentless push in the public education system to maintain gender options as a popular subject at every grade level, it seems as though the music industry, as well, is taking the promotion of degeneracy to a whole new level.
LGBTQ darling Dylan Mulvaney has resurfaced, this time to promote a song and music video titled “Girlhood.” The theatrics show Mulvaney dancing around in skimpy dresses, encircled by the color pink, sipping champagne in a bubble bath, and popping pills. Perhaps the goal was to insult biological women while making it seem as though choosing to be a gender other than one’s birth gender is the real spice of life.
What is abundantly clear, though, is that the objective of bringing as many kids as possible onto the downward spiral of the gender craze is as present as ever. Even though we continue to learn that our concerns about mental and physical harm, lack of transparency, and the side effects of things like stunted growth, sterilization, and other conditions have been confirmed, gender activists are not letting up.
What is also undeniable is that the mindset of anyone who continues to advocate for this ideology to be a part of the education system, the media, and public programming of any kind cannot claim to be unaware of the devastation they are causing.
