Dems’ Missing Trafficked Migrant Children
Displaying more gross dereliction, the Biden administration lost track of more than 65,000 migrant children, several thousand of whom were given into the hands of suspected human traffickers.
As infuriating as Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and their pals’ open border policy was — in which they initially denied there was a border crisis only to claim it was under control before finally conceding it was a crisis but that they could do nothing about it unless Congress passed a bad border bill — nothing may epitomize the Biden administration’s feigned concern for the plight of illegal immigrants flooding over the border more than their near-absolute disregard for unaccompanied children.
Over the course of Biden’s term, his administration managed to lose track of more than 320,000 migrant children. Furthermore, according to a federal whistleblower, the Biden administration was so concerned with fast-tracking illegal aliens into the country that it even deliberately placed some migrant children with traffickers.
According to recent documents Senator Chuck Grassley obtained from Health and Human Services, more than 65,000 migrant children remain unaccounted for. And the Biden administration did little to attempt to find them.
When Donald Trump took office, Grassley looked into records from HHS’s Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), where he found more than 65,000 effectively ignored “lost” children. Of these, DHS believed that more than 7,000 were with suspected human traffickers.
“My oversight exposed the Biden-Harris administration for placing unaccompanied migrant children with dangerous sponsors and actively obstructing law enforcement and Congress’ efforts to rescue vulnerable kids," Grassley stated. "I applaud the Trump administration for its swift action to protect unaccompanied migrant children by addressing the concerning reports the Biden-Harris administration shelved.”
Trump’s HHS also recently released the following statement: “ORR is digging through nearly 65,000 reports of concern about unaccompanied alien children — most ignored, many dismissed — each one a missed chance to protect a child. This isn’t just paperwork. This is a systemic failure of the Biden administration. It is children’s lives put at risk.”
An estimated 500,000 illegal alien children entered the U.S. between 2021 and 2025, and of those, roughly 85,000 were unaccompanied minors.
The job of locating and rescuing these children from traffickers is a job that has fallen to the Trump administration. The sad reality is that had Biden not taken over the presidency in 2020, many, if not all, of these children would not have been lost in the U.S., and many of them would not be being trafficked today.
This is just one of the myriad negative and truly tragic repercussions from Biden and the Democrats’ open border malfeasance. Where is Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez crying over the plight of the 65,000 lost migrant children? Where are her relentless calls for these lost and trafficked children to be found?
Instead, Democrat lawmakers would rather fly down to El Salvador to call for the return of a deported illegal alien wife-beater, MS-13 gang member, and human trafficker than find and return these lost illegal alien children to their parents.
Democrats have used compassion as a justification and cover for the lawlessness of the worst kind. Apparently, the party that has a long history of advocating for slavery in the past still has little concern for stopping the practice today.
