Clean Voter Rolls Terrify Democrats
Democrats oppose voter ID, Election Day, the Electoral College, free speech, and now even clean voter rolls because ensuring election integrity would undermine their every attempted power grab.
There are a number of literally sexier stories in the news these days — everything from Jeffrey Epstein’s case to Sydney Sweeney’s ads. But for the future of Liberty and the American Republic, almost nothing else is as important as election integrity.
Buried in a sea of more sultry news — including the galling hypocrisy of Democrats over Texas redistricting — is that the Justice Department is using the 60th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act as a prompt to focus on cleaning up state voter rolls. The DOJ has requested information from election officials in 15 states — nine run by Democrats, five by Republicans, and one by a bipartisan commission.
“Unlike the previous administration, at President [Donald] Trump’s DOJ, we will fight to have fair and secure elections,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi, “and that begins with making our voter rolls accurate.”
According to Just the News, “The new DOJ effort, officials said, will focus on pressuring states with poor voter roll hygiene to comply with existing law and remove outdated, duplicated and non-citizen registrations. It is being led by Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon.”
In a video, Dhillon explains other objectives: “Suing over ineligible voters on rolls, challenging race-based redistricting, demanding voter eligibility verification, and protecting ballot access for ALL Americans.”
Counter to Democrat caterwauling about “voter suppression,” Dhillon argued that the overarching goal is “to make it easier to vote and harder to cheat.”
The Associated Press looks askance at the effort. It “signals the transformation of the Justice Department’s involvement in elections under President Donald Trump,” the AP huffs. “The department historically has focused on protecting access to the ballot box. Today, it is taking steps to crack down on voter fraud and noncitizen voting, both of which are rare but have been the subject of years of false claims from Trump and his allies.”
Mass shootings are also rare, but that doesn’t stop Democrats from trying to take away legal guns. And just because something’s illegal and rare doesn’t mean it’s not important to stop it.
For obvious reasons, Trump has been focused on how elections are conducted since his questionable loss in 2020. Some folks have different explanations for what happened in that election, but we blame essentially two things: Leftmedia and Big Tech speech suppression, especially of Hunter Biden’s incriminating laptop and its revelations concerning Joe Biden’s corruption, and the Democrats’ bulk-mail ballot fraud strategy.
Given that one in five voters admit to cheating in 2020, and that even the Leftmedia concedes mail-in voting is problematic, it seems like a no-brainer to clean up the voter rolls that determine how it’s conducted.
In March, Trump issued an executive order regarding election integrity. It does essentially two things: requires proof of citizenship and prohibits counting mail-in ballots received after Election Day. It was, of course, immediately challenged in court.
In April, the House passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which adds “documentary proof of United States citizenship” to the 1993 National Voter Registration Act — a.k.a. the “motor voter” law. It got just four Democrat votes, and it’s stalled in the Senate amidst uniform Democrat objections.
Back to the DOJ’s effort this summer, cleaning up voter rolls is essential to correcting these other problems.
Predictably, however, Democrats are screaming Racism!
“These efforts, made under the guise of combating fraud, will disproportionately endanger voters of color, low-income communities, and active-duty military personnel,” complained Illinois Senator Dick Durbin. His state’s gerrymandering disproportionately disenfranchises the state’s 44% Republicans, but Durbin doesn’t seem to mind that.

In short, Democrats undermine elections at every turn by doing the following:
Reject any form of voter ID despite its overwhelming popularity with the American people. California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Washington, DC, don’t require it at all, and Democrats oppose it everywhere else.
Flood the nation with illegal aliens for four years and riot when ICE attempts to remove them. Then they claim illegal aliens don’t vote because “it’s illegal.”
Flood the nation with suspect mail-in ballots and fight any effort to validate those ballots or count them in a timely manner.
Expand voting into election season rather than Election Day.
Pitch a hysterical fit when Republicans gerrymander just like Democrats do.
Flee Texas rather than represent their constituents in the legislature.
Falsely accuse the opposing presidential candidate of colluding with a foreign power, then undermining his presidency (a.k.a. the choice of the people) after he won anyway.
Impeach the duly elected president for legally discharging his duties.
Try to imprison the presidential candidate they don’t like with trumped-up “felony” charges in multiple states.
Try to remove that same presidential candidate from ballots in several states.
Suppress critical news and speech before presidential elections.
Call for abolishing the Electoral College so that big cities full of Democrats can elect every president going forward.
Yet when Republicans want clean voter rolls, ID, and in-person voting, they’re the election-rigging Nazis.
