“One thing that can be done to reduce the mischief of ‘birth tourism’ is to make use of the worldwide income taxation regime.”

Re: American Liberty’s 250th: ‘A Republic, if You Can Keep It’

“In my early education, I was never introduced to the actual writings of our Founding Fathers beyond the Declaration of Independence, and that is a sad commentary. However, I was pleased, satisfied, and challenged all at the same time while reading the excerpts you selected. These men had extraordinarily wise insights into Liberty. If we as Americans had even a glimpse of it today, I can assure you we would all be living very different lives.” —Florida

“Thank you for this illuminating exposition on Liberty and its Virginia roots. As noted, given that Madison, Jefferson, and Washington were all the products of colonial Virginia, it is shameful that our state — the cradle of Liberty, as Alexander notes — has now fallen into such political disrepute.” —Virginia

“This was the best summary of our 250th anniversary to be read anywhere, with gratitude backed up with my financial support of The Patriot Post!” —California

Re: Who’s in the Mood to Celebrate 250 Years?

“Our history has shown that over time, we as citizens of the U.S. come together or rise up whenever we see or feel a threat to our Republic. As stated in your article, there are sill more Patriots than we realize, and they will keep us moving forward!” —Virginia

Re: What’s Next for Birthright Citizenship?

“Those in support of birthright citizenship claim that 30 countries allow such a thing. If one believes the UN, that organization recognizes 194 sovereign nations. This means those 30 countries are outliers, so this talking point is moot.” —Tennessee

“We can’t even rally around protecting elections; why do you think we can do anything about what the Supremes just did? Whenever the GOP controls the three branches, they fold every time, largely because of fighting from within. Much of Congress hates the president. The deep state is solidly against him. The Supreme Court is fickle at best. On the one hand, they adhere to text, history, and tradition from the founding. On the other hand, they scour the planet for legal reasoning.” —Connecticut

“One thing that can be done to reduce the mischief of ‘birth tourism’ is to make use of the worldwide income taxation regime enacted under the Obama administration. Any adults seeking to enter the United States as ‘birthright citizens’ can be asked whether they have filed their U.S. income tax returns and paid any taxes due. If they have not, they can either face the IRS music or renounce their citizenship claims.” —Minnesota

Re: The AC War Heats Up

“How about a law that says during a heat wave, stores, office buildings, and government offices have to raise the thermostat to 80F, thereby reducing planet-destroying energy use so ordinary citizens can run a window AC in their homes? But then fewer people would die, and sanctimonious leaders would have less to whine about.” —New Hampshire

“The frogs have ever been self-deluding, especially in their haute cuisine. They eat all manner of things as if it would improve their military stature (how tall was Napoleon?). They not only deserve to stew in their own juices (as they do), but they refuse to take responsibility for their own miscreations. They have had shots at the finest that science and technology has to offer, but, sadly, it is not from a vintage year. Oh, well — c'est la merde!” —Texas

Re: ‘Supergirl’ Super Flop: A Lesson in Alienating Your Audience

“Will Hollywood ever learn? I liked the TV show ‘Supergirl’ starring Melissa Benoist. She was not bisexual, drunk, or power hungry, and she played the character like it was designed: a female cousin of Superman who arrived years after he arrived on Earth. She was basically a beautiful, blond, blue-eyed, shy farm girl — the woman of most men’s dreams. Just seeing the movie poster told me everything I needed to know. It was going to be a flop with a character driven by Hollywood’s desire to turn everything on end. —Illinois

Re: Student Loan Bills Come Due

"Go further back in time to Obama with his transfer of student loans to the government for repayment. He is the grifter. Not all students defaulted by choice. He did away with a generation of highly talented individuals who couldn’t get jobs to repay as they had promised. The COVID response left many jobless. Not the best time for a generation of achievers. Yes, some were grifters, but many saw a very different future and went for it like they were brought up. Democrats are communists who rob the soul of the individual to feed their appetite for power and control.” —New Mexico

Re: SCOTUS Backs Up States That Want to Save Women’s Sports

“The next step for the 27 sane states: Pass laws that make coaches liable the instant a gender-confused person enters competition. Make the minimum fine fairly steep.” —Florida
