Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) infamously referred to ObamaCare as a “train wreck.” Yesterday, however, he changed his tune: Baucus said that ObamaCare would be a train wreck only if the Obama administration doesn’t “implement it very well,” adding that they’re “doing a pretty good job” so far. “I don’t expect a train wreck,” Baucus said. “I think the train’s going to keep running – not maybe totally on time – but it’s going to be pretty efficient.”

We suspect Baucus got a phone call from the White House over his initial comments, reminding him that the 2014 elections are right around the bend and Democrats don’t want the train wreck of ObamaCare to derail their chances.
