MSM Ignores Biden’s Hoax Peddling
Joe once again promotes the lie about Trump’s Charlottesville comments.
Over the weekend, President Donald Trump blasted Fox News’s Chris Wallace for failing to apply the same interviewing standards he used when grilling White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows compared to his interview of members of Joe Biden’s “inner circle.” “All softball questions to a group of Biden lightweights, including Senator Chris Coons of Delaware,” Trump complained. “Chris Wallace ‘forgot’ to ask a very weak and pathetic Schumer puppet, Senator Chrisie Coons, why Biden fought me when I put an extremely early BAN on people coming into our Country from heavily infected China,” Trump groused. “Biden later admitted I was right! But why no question?”
Indeed, it’s the MSM’s double standard that has allowed the Democrats to nominate one of their weakest presidential candidates in history. By refusing to hold Biden — or his staff and surrogates — accountable by pressing important questions related both to his mental health and his various spurious claims against Trump, the MSM has essentially acted to protect Biden rather than vet or test him.
For example, Biden has been unchallenged for blatantly propagating the Charlottesville lie about Trump during his DNC acceptance speech. That’s the long-debunked hoax that Trump, when referencing the protesting and violence that erupted in Charlottesville back in 2017 over the planned removal of Robert E. Lee’s statue from a city park, asserted that there were “fine people” among the white supremacists. The truth is that Trump explicitly noted that he was not talking about neo-Nazis and white nationalists, saying that “they should be condemned totally.” Yet the Leftmedia intentionally and repeatedly truncated Trump’s comments so as to remove his clarification as to whom he was referencing as “fine people.” Biden knows this.
“Dilbert” creator Scott Adams, for one, hammered him for repeating the lie anyway. “The fact that he based his campaign on being the guy of good character and the one who cares, while at the same time and in the same speech perpetuated the most divisive race hoax in American history — the fine people hoax” should disqualify him, Adams asserted. “He’s basing his campaign on a debunked hoax.”
In light of the current climate of heightened racial tensions, lying in order to condemn Trump as a dyed-in-the-wool racist may be one of the worst in Biden’s long history of deceitful claims. And yet again, no mainstream media reporter pressed him on the lie, and no “fact-checker” raked him over the coals — not without smearing Trump at the same time.
If Biden has to lie in order to claim the mantel of the candidate with greater moral principles, then is he really a man of superior character? And if the media has to prop him up along the way, is he really fit for the office?
