Scientific and Religious Institutions Embrace Gender Confusion
The WHO and the Church of England reject the binary nature of human sexuality and refuse to offer a cogent definition for the term “woman.”
A great conundrum has descended upon much of the West’s authoritative institutions, crippling their ability to identify the most basic and fundamental components of reality. Collectively, they have been infected with that leftist mind virus known as “wokeness.”
The World Health Organization, which is recognized by the United Nations as the world’s leading authority on everything related to human healthcare, has admitted that it essentially is unable to define what a woman is. The binary nature of human sexuality — meaning there exists among humans either the male or female sex — has been rejected, as the WHO declared that “sex is not limited to male or female.” Even the gender-benders don’t all agree with that because they distinguish between sex (biology) and gender (identity).
Officials at the WHO have been updating their manual on human sexuality in order to comport with “new scientific evidence and conceptual progress” on gender. The manual now makes the ironically unscientific claim that sex exists along an ill-defined — or undefined — continuum. Of course, any scientist worth his salt sees this for what it is: an ideology without any scientific justification seeking to bully and bend scientific “consensus” in support of The Narrative.
“It is a dismissal of basic biology,” observed Jenny Gamble, professor at Coventry University’s School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health, “and [a] mistake. Biology is a key determinant of health and illness. Not being clear about basic biology opens the door to a range of problems, including very poor health communication but also distorted data.”
It’s not just the WHO having trouble defining what a woman is by, you know, “following the science.” Moving from the realm of science to religion, the Church of England now says that it also cannot offer a definition. “There is no official definition,” opined Senior Bishop Rt Rev. Robert Innes, “which reflects the fact that until fairly recently definitions of this kind were thought to be self-evident, as reflected in the marriage liturgy.” Well, they remain self-evident because the Christian Church has long accepted the physical reality that sexual organs determine a person’s sex/gender.
As the Bible clearly teaches, when God created mankind, He created them as sexually binary beings, male and female. It’s right there in the first chapters of Genesis. Bishop Innes ought to take a look. Furthermore, Scripture identifies the distinct and complementary roles that men and women fill within both the family structure and broader society. The Christian Church has long recognized these gender distinctions. It’s not that the Church of England can’t define what a woman is, it’s that weak-kneed folks like Innes refuse to do so out of fear of offending those promoting the mind virus of wokeness. They fear enraging those who rage against the truth.
By the way, speaking of Genesis, the fall happened when Satan asked the question, “Did God really say…?” That’s the question about sex that the wokesters are asking: Did God really say there are two sexes?
This crumbling of confidence in the reliability of objective truth is all thanks to the West’s embrace of postmodernism, in which the very notion of objective truth is rejected as a lie. Now, even the experts and leaders are afraid of the truth.
