Vote as if Border Security Matters
Biden’s intentional invasion is a hot topic this November, especially with the latest record numbers.
How do you know news about the U.S. southern border is really bad? The Biden administration held its Friday afternoon news dump about it until 11 p.m. Friday night.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported 227,547 migrant encounters in September, a record for that month and 374% higher than average under Donald Trump. About 19% of them were repeat offenders. It’s not just a one-month spike, either. For the fiscal year that ended September 30, Border Patrol agents recorded a record 2,378,944 encounters, though, thanks to Title 42, a little more than a million migrants were turned back. Including “known gotaways,” the number of known crossings for the year is well over three million, and the real number is higher still given that the Border Patrol obviously doesn’t know how many migrants its agents didn’t encounter.
At least 4.7 million people have illegally crossed the U.S. border since Joe Biden became president.
Some other stunning numbers for the year: 11,900 unaccompanied minors were apprehended, 128,121 migrants came from countries outside Mexico or the Northern Triangle (primarily the socialist utopias of Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua), and 98 of those caught were people on the terror watchlist. More than 850 migrants died trying to cross Biden’s open border, making this fiscal year the deadliest ever.
Drugs are also pouring across: 1,826 pounds of deadly fentanyl and 10,612 pounds of methamphetamine were seized, but how much made it through? According to the RNC, “More fentanyl has crossed the border in the last two months under Biden than in all of FY 2019 under President Trump.” How many Americans died from overdoses on drugs smuggled across?
Meanwhile, Mexican cartels are cashing in. The New York Times, using Homeland Security Investigations data, reports that “revenues have soared to an estimated $13 billion today from $500 million in 2018.” Biden recently insisted that the economy is “strong as hell,” but somehow we don’t think the cartels are what he had in mind.
“We have a secure border,” according to Border Czar Kamala Harris. Inquiring minds want to know what it would look like to have a border that’s not secure.
Obviously, Harris is wrong. “The border is not secured,” says Representative Henry Cuellar, one of the few Democrats who’s actually still sane about border policy. “We gotta make sure that we have repercussions,” he added. “We can be compassionate at the border, but you got to enforce the law. If you don’t return people, this is what you’re going to have.”
As for repercussions, if Republicans win Congress in November, that can start with impeaching DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
The media has been focused on the few dozen migrants sent by Republican governors to strategically chosen “sanctuary” locations like Washington, DC, or Martha’s Vineyard. What they’re not telling you is that Biden’s flights and buses are sending far more migrants to locales around the nation — all while pretending he cares.
“He doesn’t care about human life. He doesn’t care,” asserted National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd of President Brandon. “The only thing that he cares about is pandering to his open border base. And that’s dangerous for the American people. It’s also dangerous for those people that are trying to enter our country illegally.”
Joe Biden started an intentional invasion at the border, voters hate it, and there’s an important election in two weeks.
