The Big Chill: Biden Whistleblower Indicted
Circling the wagons for the Biden Crime Family, the DOJ has filed charges against a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen named Gal Luft.
It’s becoming quite clear that the Democrats no longer like whistleblowers. Indeed, they’ve gone from lauding them to ignoring them to indicting them.
Perhaps it has something to do with what, exactly, these whistleblowers are blowing the whistle about.
If, for example, a low-level CIA analyst and holdover from the Obama administration begins plotting to have Donald Trump removed from office just two weeks into his term, Democrats are quick to protect his identity, laud him for his “patriotism” and his status as an “apolitical civil servant,” and promote his hearsay claims as the substance for impeaching a sitting president.
But if, on the other hand, as the New York Post reports, a credible firsthand witness to corruption is poised to testify to the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee that the Biden Crime Family “received payments from individuals with ties to Chinese military intelligence and that the Bidens had an FBI mole who shared classified information with their [Chinese] benefactors,” well, then the deep-state Democrats move to indict him.
Why, it’s almost as if the Democrats’ love for whistleblowers is situational.
As Fox News reports, “Gal Luft, a 57-year-old dual U.S.-Israeli citizen, is charged with acting as an unregistered agent of China and seeking to broker the sale of Iranian oil in violation of sanctions, federal prosecutors in Manhattan said on Monday.”
Luft is thus facing decades behind bars for knowing and sharing too much about the illicit doings of the Biden Crime Family.
This would be rich if it weren’t so outrageous. The Department of “Justice” is hitting Luft with the same “unregistered agent” charge that the Democrats used to squeeze and then ultimately imprison former Trump advisor Paul Manafort — which happens to be the same charge that’s hiding in plain sight with all of Hunter Biden’s, ahem, alleged international influence peddling and money laundering.
The indictment is conveniently timed, too, having been handed down by a grand jury in 2022 and yet only unsealed on Monday. As Fox News continues, the indictment accuses Luft of “recruiting and paying a former high-ranking U.S. government official on behalf of principals based in China in 2016, without registering as a foreign agent as required by law.”
Luft says the federal case against him is a political hit job meant to silence him. “I, who volunteered to inform the U.S. government about a potential security breach and about compromising information about a man vying to be the next president,” Luft told the Post in a video filmed in an undisclosed location last week, “am now being hunted by the very same people who I informed — and may have to live on the run for the rest of my life.”
This seems to be rather rough treatment for a man who in 2019 met with six FBI and Justice Department officials in Brussels and told them the extent of the Bidens’ connection with a Chinese energy company, CEFC. Perhaps it’s because he knows too much about what he calls “the mother of all FARA cases, the Bidens’ systemic influence-peddling on behalf of foreign governments.”
As the Post reports, “Among his claims was that the conglomerate was paying $100,000 a month to Hunter and $65,000 to first brother Jim Biden, in exchange for their FBI connections and use of the Biden name to promote China’s Belt and Road Initiative around the world — and that the money was being funneled through another Biden family associate, Rob Walker.”
Luft also said that then-VP Joe Biden attended a meeting with Hunter and officials from CEFC in early 2017 at the Four Seasons Hotel in DC — a sighting later confirmed by Walker, according to congressional testimony. So much for the Big Guy never having discussed his son’s overseas business dealings with him.
Notice the repeated pattern of the FBI’s handling of witnesses who appear to have the goods on the Bidens: They interview them extensively to see what they know, and then: crickets and tumbleweeds. As Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo: “He’s got a wealth of information. But they never followed up on that meeting. Instead, they arrested him in Cyprus to silence him.”
Like Biden associate Tony Bobulinski, so too Gal Luft. Except they didn’t just ignore Luft. They indicted him.
As Senator Johnson added, “What’s very interesting about Dr. Luft is, he’s an energy expert, had a think tank, consulted with people like [former] CIA Director James Woolsey and [former Reagan National Security Advisor] Robert McFarlane, and he was consulting with CEFC, the same Chinese company connected to the Communist Party there was paying the Bidens millions of dollars.”
Johnson also notes the difference in the DOJ’s enthusiasm for investigating Republicans compared to investigating Democrats: “One indication of the problem we have in terms of the multiple-tier system of justice here, is Robert Mueller, in less than two years, spent $32 million on his special counsel investigation on a complete hoax … John Durham, in over three years, only spent $7.7 million and delivered virtually nothing. … Now you have got Jack Smith in a few months has spent $5.5 million. Robert Hur, who’s investigating Biden’s classified documents, spent $616,000.”
Two-tiered justice, anyone? Nah.
