Yesterday was not just the National Day of Prayer. It was the national day of *answered* prayer for many conservative Christians! After an eight-year war on faith, President Trump finally called a ceasefire on the conflict started by Barack Obama with an executive order on religious freedom. If the election had taken place on October 27, Clinton maintained, she’d be president. With near unanimity, my never-Trump friends confess a sense of relief. It could have been worse. They thought it would be worse. A deep apprehension still endures but the international order remains intact, the republic still stands, and no “enemy of the people” has (yet) been arrested.

On ObamaCare, Republicans Vastly Over-Promised
Republicans have put on a clinic on over-promising during the past several years. Even if you were paying only very little attention, you would have gotten the distinct impression over the past four election cycles that the GOP was unalterably committed to repealing and replacing Obamacare.
Beef Company Makes Itself Herd on Freedom
The West Michigan Beef Company should be where *cattle* are slaughtered — not freedom. Unfortunately for the Vander Boon family, the USDA made their property a dead end for more than livestock. Don and Ellen, the devout Christians who started the plant, found that out the hard way when inspectors threatened to shut down their operation over something as innocent as a piece of breakroom reading material — which *not one employee* had complained about!
