Trump’s Foreign-Terrorist Order Defends Religious Freedom
“This is a religious test pure and simple,” Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia said Monday. The senator, who as the Democratic vice presidential nominee defended Hillary Clinton’s support for legalized partial-birth abortion, seemed to be taking a morally righteous stand against President Donald Trump’s executive order aimed at protecting U.S. territory from entry by foreign terrorists.

Following the Money in Macedonia
What would Open Society Foundation (OSF) president and fund manager George Soros want with the small, landlocked nation of Macedonia? As it turns out, plenty. The Daddy Warbucks of progressive causes is working overtime to weaken European borders and facilitate the flow of refugees from the Middle East by sending money to disrupt nations holding both democratic elections and cracking down on illegal immigration.

2017: The Year Conservative Protests Are News
It shouldn’t be considered remarkable that all three major broadcast networks offered a news story on the tens of thousands who came for the 2017 March for Life. But it is. Between the morning and evening shows, the networks gave it almost 22 minutes of airtime altogether. To illustrate how shocking that number is, consider that last year, ABC gave the march 35 seconds of coverage. NBC ignored it altogether. Ditto for CBS.

Not All Refugees Are Welcome
For years, left-wingers would contest my use of the term “open borders lobby” because, they sternly rebuked me, nooooobody in America seriously believes in open borders. Whelp. This weekend, thousands of anti-Trump liberals took to the streets, airports and college campuses chanting “all are welcome” and shrieking “let them in” to protest White House executive orders enforcing our borders.

Mercy for the ‘Dreamers’
On June 15, 2012, President Obama signed an executive order to protect those who arrived illegally to the United States as minors. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals provides a two-year window to shield these people from deportation and allow them to work. They must have been under 16 when they arrived, be in school or have completed school, and have no criminal record.

New Sheriff in Town
Once again, Donald Trump proved that there is a new sheriff in town. [Monday] night he fired Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, an Obama loyalist. Yates refused to defend President Trump’s order imposing a temporary immigration moratorium on seven countries infected by radical Islamic terrorism. President Trump promptly replaced Ms. Yates with Dana Boente, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, who has promised to defend the president’s immigration order. Mr. Boente will run the Justice Department until the Senate confirms Jeff Sessions, which I hope will happen this week.

Trump Bubble Bursts
No! The bubble burst. My fantasy died. I wasn’t a big Donald Trump backer — on TV I have called him a bully, a narcissist, etc. — but his first days were thrilling!

Lower Conduct Standards for Liberals
One can only imagine the widespread media, political and intellectual condemnation of Republicans and conservatives if, after the inauguration of Barack Obama, they had gone on a violent and vicious tear all over the nation as did Democrats and liberals after the inauguration of President Donald Trump. They committed acts such as assaulting Trump supporters, setting fires and stoning police. Suppose Republicans/conservatives had carried signs that read “F— Obama” or talked about “blowing up the White House.” The news media, instead of calling them protesters, would have labeled them evil racists, obstructionists and everything else except a child of God.

The Left Won’t Stop Threatening Violence Against Trump
We’re barely a week and a half into President Trump’s administration, and the left is in sheer panic mode. We’ve seen headlines blaring that Trump instituted a Muslim ban (he didn’t). We’ve seen speculation that the Trump White House’s failure to clearly inform the Department of Homeland Security how to implement his immigration executive order amounts to an attempted coup (nope). We’ve seen accusations that Trump will overthrow the judiciary, run roughshod over Congress and generally make a fascist nuisance of himself.

Trump Is Taking the Bannon Way, and It Will End in Disaster
The Trump White House is engulfed in a firestorm of its own ignition. The Democrats and the media were only too happy to pour on more gasoline.

Liberals Want U.S. to Admit All the Refugees and Pray We Don’t Get Blown Up
The mainstream media, liberals and Hollywood are pitching a super-sized hissy fit over President Donald Trump’s decision to protect the fruited plain from blood-thirsty jihadists.

It’s Time for Churches to Sever Ties With Boy Scouts
Girls who identify as boys will now be allowed to join the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, marking a complete capitulation to the gender and sex revolutionaries.

The Un-American Canard
The surefire way to bring the word “un-American” into vogue is to propose a restriction on immigration, no matter how minor.

Media Malpractice
Late Friday afternoon, President Trump signed an executive order designed to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the country. Immediately the Left and its media allies went on the attack.

The Week That Was
Republican members of Congress met in Philadelphia last weekend for what was called a retreat. It might have been more accurately labeled an advance.

End the Foreign-Aid Racket
Donald Trump’s wise and humanitarian move to reinstate the Reagan-era “Mexico City policy,” which prohibits U.S. foreign-aid dollars from going to non-government organizations that perform or provide referrals for abortions, has incited a torrent of liberal outrage.

Making America Safe Again
At the start of the weekend, President Trump was busy doing what President Trump does — making things happen.

Why My Stepsons’ Father Killed Himself
Last week, my two stepsons’ father, a man who loved life, killed himself. I would like to tell you why.

Remembering Two Christian College Presidents — Charles MacKenzie and Michael Scanlan
The story of Christian higher education in America is a sad saga. Once upon a time, the nation’s premier universities were run by religious people or founded with religious missions, or at least were respectful of the Christian faith. That sharp reversal has been a painful long march, with a marked turn early in the 20th century. I’m often reminded of the sardonic words of Thomas Merton, who at radical Columbia University in the 1930s became a communist. He ultimately escaped that god that failed, instead becoming a Trappist monk. Columbia had become a toxic environment where Dewey-ism rather than Christianity was the prevailing *zeitgeist*.

Make SCOTUS Nominees Answer the Tough Questions
Buckle up: With Donald Trump’s first Supreme Court nomination expected this week, Washington is preparing to hurl itself into a fresh political brawl. Already some liberal groups have pledged to oppose any conservative Trump selects to fill the vacancy caused by Justice Antonin Scalia’s death last February. The Senate Democratic leader, Chuck Schumer, has said he will fight “tooth and nail” to defeat any judge who is “out of the mainstream” — which Schumer has pretty much defined as any nominee “that Donald Trump would choose that would get Republican support.”
