A Fifth Clinton Presidency? Hill, No!
I keep hearing that Hillary Clinton would be “Obama’s third term.” The math is wrong. Barack Obama served the Clinton crime family’s third and fourth term. Electing Hillary would doom America to a *fifth* Clinton White House. From 1993-2001, under the “Two for the Price of One” Clinton regime, we suffered through Travelgate, Filegate, Whitewatergate, Missing Rose Law Firm Billing Records-gate, Chinagate, Lincoln Bedroom Rentalgate, Creepergate, Pardongate, Chronic “-Gate” Fatigue, and IRS weaponization against Clinton critics.
Planned Parenthood’s PAC of Lies
Donald Trump doesn’t just want to build a wall across the border — he wants to build a wall between taxpayers and abortion too! Maybe that’s why Planned Parenthood is frantically knocking on voters’ doors in what CBS calls a “massive election effort” to help Hillary Clinton. Apparently, when America’s biggest abortion provider isn’t busy destroying lives, the group is spending its time electing people that’ll help them stay in business. According to reports, the organization is sinking an unprecedented $30 million into its PAC, hoping to populate Congress and the White House with abortion allies who would help protect its multi-million dollar federal funding stream.
CNN Gets Caught in Cheating Scandal
Rush Limbaugh found just the right analogy for the CNN cheating scandal, where (now) former CNN analyst Donna Brazile fed “town hall” questions to Hillary Clinton. It’s the quiz-show scandal of the 1950s, where Charles Van Doren was given the questions on the NBC game show “Twenty-One” in advance and looked like a genius on national television. Van Doren later apologized to America, saying, “I have deceived my friends, and I had millions of them.”
Medicaid and CHIP Enrollees Outnumber Obama Voters
Thirty-two years ago, the United States of America unified behind the re-election of Ronald Reagan as president, giving him an Electoral College victory of 525 to 13. Walter Mondale, Reagan’s opponent, only managed to win his home state of Minnesota and the federal government’s homeland of Washington, D.C. Reagan, according to the National Archives, won 54,455,075 popular votes in 1984 — more than any presidential candidate up to that point. Mondale won only 37,577,185. After Reagan’s 1984 landslide, the national population grew, but the popular and Electoral College vote totals of winning presidential candidates declined.

First It Was No Snow and Cold. Now It’s More Snow and Cold?
I will keep this short. The climate change (AKA global warming) alarmists are now understanding that blocking over the North Pole is the inevitable result of long-term oceanic and solar fluctuations (or at least I hope they are). However, in an effort to again push their missive (fear of a cold, snowy winter), they are pre-blaming the shift in the polar vortex on their ideas. This is rich because, in the winters of the 1970s, when it got very warm relative to average over the poles, we had people warning that an ice age was coming (of course they want you to forget that).
TSA Inspects Texas Pastor’s Bible
The pastor of a Texas megachurch said he was stunned when a government agent stopped him at a TSA checkpoint so his Bible could be inspected. “I couldn’t believe it. I literally couldn’t believe it,” said Gene Lingerfelt, the pastor of Faith Christian Center in Arlington, Texas. The pastor and his wife were on their way to Cancun for vacation when he was stopped Monday in the TSA Pre-Check line for a “bag check.” Brief aside: Your friendly neighborhood columnist has TSA Pre-Check, too, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been pulled aside for additional screening. So now we’re literally getting charged to get manhandled by the TSA — although we do get to keep our shoes on. At first, the pastor was not terribly surprised by the disruption.
No, Your Civil Duty Is Not Complete on Nov. 8
So you’ll go to the polls on Nov. 8 (or perhaps you’ve already voted). You will reject the lesser of two evils. Or vote your principles. Or support your party. Or affirm its platform. Or vote 3rd party. Check that off. You did or will do what every patriotic American does. Right? And then you can sit back down. Phew! That’s behind you. Election 2016 will be over. Sure, there are real consequences to what will happen on Nov. 8. But you will have voted. You’ll be back in four years. Or maybe even in two years if you’re a real radical. So let’s move on. It’s time to get on with life.
Let’s Play ‘Let’s Pretend’
When I was a child, there was a Saturday morning radio program called “Let’s Pretend.” It used words and sounds to encourage young children to paint pictures in their heads of make-believe worlds. So in that spirit, let’s pretend that history will show Donald Trump as being elected president Nov. 8. That result is hard to imagine for anyone who has been watching closely since the first presidential debate, which was Sept. 26. Since then, nearly all indications have been that Hillary Clinton is certain to win. So, as a thought exercise before the results are in, let’s try to imagine how we could move from that seemingly real world to the “let’s pretend” world of President Donald Trump.
October Demise?
I love definitions because they help focus the mind. Under dictionary.com’s definition of “corrupt” one finds the following: 1. Guilty of dishonest practices, as bribery; lacking integrity; crooked: 2. Debased in character; depraved; perverted; wicked; evil: 3. Infected; tainted.
Random Thoughts
Random thoughts on the passing scene: There seem to be fewer bumper stickers this year than in previous presidential election years. People may decide to vote for one of these candidates, but apparently they are not proud of their choice. It is astonishing that some people think that the answer to the problems of ObamaCare is to go to a “single payer” system. But “single payer” is just another way of saying “government monopoly.” Does anyone pay attention to how government monopolies operate — from the local DMV to Veterans Administration hospitals?
Still Think Hillary Clinton Is a Role Model for Your Daughter?
Three months ago, I wrote a column refuting the claim repeatedly made by supporters of Hillary Clinton that having a woman president — specifically, Hillary Clinton — would be a terrific thing for girls and young women. In light of how much more we now know about Clinton’s activities while secretary of state and the renewal by the FBI of its investigation of her private email server as well as the revelation, denied months ago by Clinton, that it is investigating her family-run charities, it is a topic worth revisiting. Good and decent men and women who are Democrats ought to stop thinking this way — for America’s sake and for their daughters’ sake.
A Cauldron of Corruption
Hillary Clinton’s team is spooked all right — but it has nothing to do with Halloween. Friday’s announcement that the FBI was reopening the investigation into Hillary’s private email server has rocked the political world — or at least part of it. The reality that the Democratic nominee could be indicted is not so much a dilemma for the Left as it for some on the Right. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that this new evidence of Hillary’s corruption will impact her liberal support, since most of those voters have supported President Obama’s lawless administration for the last eight years. The greatest impact could be on conservatives who are either sitting on the sidelines or agitating against Donald Trump. Those conservatives are now squarely confronted with an uncomfortable reality: that their hand-wringing objections could facilitate the election of the Queen of Corruption.

Washington is still buzzing from Friday’s bombshell announcement that the FBI has reopened the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of U.S. national security material. As you know, the latest twist involves a laptop that was shared by disgraced ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner and his wife Huma Abedin, Hillary’s closest aide.
ObamaCare Implosion Exposes Web of Lies and Deceit
By now, everyone knows that Obamacare is the public-policy flop of this generation. With the latest news of premiums increasing 22 percent, insurance companies dropping out, rising taxes and less completion, this is truly the Hindenburg of health plans. But there is another part of the story that needs to be told. President Obama’s team and the liberal echo chamber lied about Obamacare from the start and covered up the financial time bomb that would soon detonate in Americans’ laps. This was like Enron officials cooking the books to cover up financial fraud.
If Ben Franklin Could Vote
You’ve got to hand it to Pennsylvania voters. They must be among the most patriotic Americans. After all, as the redoubtable Robert Knight recently revealed, hundreds of voters over 100 have been casting ballots, apparently for years. One was reportedly born on August 7, 1853, making him a very young 163. He voted in both 2008 and 2012. Hopefully he won’t miss the 2016 election. It’s great to see that sort of commitment to our democracy!

Hillary’s Faith: In God and Roe She Trusts
“Secretary Clinton, I want to explore how far you believe the right to abortion goes,” asked Fox News Channel’s Chris Wallace, moderator for the third and final presidential debate. “You have been quoted as saying that the fetus has no constitutional rights. You also voted against a ban on late-term, partial-birth abortions. Why?” Mrs. Clinton’s answer was precisely what we’ve come to expect. She bristled, her voice turning sharp, her tone unyielding: “Because Roe v. Wade very clearly sets out that there can be regulations on abortion so long as the life and the health of the mother are taken into account….” It was her canned answer, one I’ve heard countless times in my years writing about her.
Minimum-Wage Laws: Good Intentions, Bad Results
ON “Carpe Diem,” his lively economics blog, University of Michigan professor Mark J. Perry likes to use Venn diagrams to needle those who “do not have a strong need for intellectual consistency.” On topics ranging from drug prices to campus diversity to imports from China, he shows how common it is for people to simultaneously hold contradictory positions, oblivious to the fact that they are logically irreconcilable.
On the Road With Hillary
As you may have heard, Mrs. Clinton recently channeled Michelle Obama when she said “When they go low, we go high.” Naturally, the “they” the ladies were referencing were Republicans. So when Hillary called Trump’s supporters “deplorables” and “irredeemable,” we’re supposed to assume she was engaging in lofty rhetoric. Presumably, when she called Bernie Sanders’ supporters “losers” and “self-righteous whiners,” while she and her inner circle dismissed Catholics, Latinos and southerners, as second-raters, that was simply tough love. After all, how will these people ever measure up if Hillary, her campaign manager John Podesta or one of her other surrogates, doesn’t share a few inconvenient truths with them?

As New Hampshire Goes, So Goes the Senate?
In 1936, President Franklin Roosevelt defeated Kansas’ Gov. Alfred Landon in 46 of the 48 states, thereby creating the jest, “As Maine goes, so goes Vermont.” Eight decades later, New England has gone from the Republicans’ last redoubt in a bad year to their least receptive region in any year. Its six states have made 36 decisions in the last six presidential elections and the score is Democrats 35, Republicans 1 — New Hampshire supported George W. Bush in 2000. Republicans hold just two of New England’s 21 congressional seats, and two of 12 Senate seats, those of Maine’s Susan Collins and New Hampshire’s Kelly Ayotte.

Who We Are as a People — The Syrian Refugee Question
Nothing has provoked the ire of America’s bipartisan political class as much as Donald Trump’s recent proposal that the U.S. should suspend the acceptance of refugees from Syria and other terrorist-supporting nations until we find a way of perfecting the screening process to ensure that we are not admitting terrorists or terror sympathizers. On its face this proposal was not unreasonable. Most of these refugees do not have adequate documentation, intelligence agencies do not have sufficient information to determine whether or not they have terrorist connections or intend to engage in terrorism, and the heads of our security agencies have warned that active terrorists will inevitably slip through security screening cracks.
