"You're Teaching My Child What?"

Much of what is being taught to our young girls and boys in sex ed classes is too graphic and vulgar to be quoted in the newspaper. You can blame Planned Parenthood, Advocates for Youth, and the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS). These groups, which advocate homosexuality and sado-masochism -- and which instruct girls how to perform oral sex on their boyfriends and other girls -- dominate the content of sex ed. Their materials promote a radical political agenda, are highly pornographic, encourage our children to be sexually active, and are largely devoid of biological and medical information.

What Lies Beneath

The debate -- OK, the shouting match -- we are having over "health-care reform" is about many things, including cost, who gets help and who does not and who, or what, gets to make that determination. Underlying it all is a larger question: Is human life something special? Is it to be valued more highly than, say, plants and pets? When someone is in a "persistent vegetative state" do we mean to say that person is equal in value to a carrot?

The hubris, arrogance and deceit of President Barack Obama and the Democratic leadership are breathtaking. In their maniacal frenzy to assume control over every aspect of our lives through socialized medicine, they are behaving like the thuggish autocrats they have proved themselves to be.

Is Crowding Criminogenic?

The first thing you have to know when you read that California's 33 adult prisons -- like the state prison in Chino where riots erupted over the weekend -- are operating at 190 percent capacity is that 100 percent capacity means one inmate per cell, single bunks in dormitories and no beds in spaces not designed for housing. Put two inmates in a single cell and bunk beds in lieu of single beds and you get 200 percent capacity.
