There’s No Such Thing as ‘Lone Wolf’ Jihad
So another radical Islamist went on a murderous rampage. Surely, the connection is obvious ... right?

The Progressively Bloody Price of Obama/Clinton Appeasement

Taking a Closer Look at the Terrorist Threat
A recent Gallup poll asked Americans to name the No. 1 issue facing the country. What do you suppose came out on top? Not the economy. Not health care. Not immigration. No, the issue that headed the list was terrorism. This hardly seems surprising in the wake of the Paris and San Bernardino attacks. Yet that didn’t stop certain critics from dismissing this fear and airing the statistics that show you have more to fear from car accidents, heart disease and ingrown toenails than from terrorism.

Yes, Muslims Should Be Asked to Condemn Islamic Terror
Last week, an opinion piece appeared in The Washington Post that tells you much of what you need to know about the moral fabric and intellectual depth of the ACLU and much of the left. Written by Rana Elmir, deputy director of the Michigan chapter of the ACLU, the title says it all: “Stop asking me to condemn terrorists just because I’m Muslim.”

Recruiting Jihadists
The radical Islamic terror group al-Shabaab released a recruitment video over the weekend. It features Malcolm X, stokes racial tensions and urges black Muslim Americans to rise up against our country. It sounds like it could have been written by Louis Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam leader once honored by Obama’s Chicago church. But what the media focused on was footage of Donald Trump calling for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration to America until we can sort out the peaceful Muslims from those who hate us.

Farook’s Friend
San Bernardino jihadist Syed Farook used two rifles in his murderous rampage that were purchased by a friend, Enrique Marquez. According to published reports, Marquez is expected to face charges in the ongoing investigation into last week’s terrorist attack. As it turns out, Farook and Marquez are related by marriage, and Marquez told investigators that he and Farook had discussed plans for a terrorist attack in 2012.

Too Little, Too Late
If you tuned in [Sunday] night to President Obama’s Oval Office address expecting to hear something important, you were probably sorely disappointed. For those of you who missed it, here’s my brief analysis. First of all, why was he standing, speaking from a podium, in the Oval Office? I was pondering that question and listening to his tone, which struck me as exasperated. He sounded like someone who just couldn’t get the audience to calm down and listen to him. Then it occurred to me — he sounded like a professor lecturing a class. The president reiterated a constant theme of his administration, saying that we should not give in to fear. He misses the point. We are not afraid of radical Islam. We are afraid of the continued weak response to it.

Farook Was Obsessed With Israel — What Else Do We Need to Know?
According to the father of the San Bernardino terrorist, Syed Rizwan Farook, his son was “obsessed with Israel.” In an interview in the Italian newspaper La Stampa, the senior Syed Farook said, “My son said that he shared [Islamic State leader] Al Baghdadi’s ideology and supported the creation of the Islamic State. He was also obsessed with Israel.” Likewise, the Los Angeles Times reported that “As the investigation unfolded, friends and family of the shooters came forward to offer snapshots that may point to what motivated Wednesday’s attack, including Farook’s apparent fixation on Israel and Malik’s devotion to a fundamentalist strain of Islam.”

Another Case of SJS?
In the aftermath of the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, which left 14 people dead and at least 20 wounded, the FBI, most of the media and local law enforcement are warning us not to jump to any conclusions. This could be work place violence, or perhaps someone offended the shooters, Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik.

‘Nothing to Do With Islam’
In the aftermath of Paris and before San Bernardino, Hillary Clinton articulated the forced catechism of the left: “Let’s be clear: Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.” What happens when a major political party becomes so wedded to political correctness that it feels constrained to deny reality? Clinton could hardly have chosen a less opportune moment to squeeze her eyes shut about the threat of Islamic extremism, a threat that is glaringly, blazingly obvious.

Planned Parenthood and Those Villainous Christians
In the wake of the Colorado Springs shooting, I read a great deal about so-called Christian terrorism from liberals. I don’t think they’ve thought this through. We’ve spent years hearing how associating Islam with terrorism is outrageous and bigoted. President Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry and Hillary Clinton have all made the case that Islamic terrorism has “nothing whatsoever” — Clinton’s words — to do with Islam. President Obama insists the Islamic State “is not Islamic.”

President Obama’s Imaginary World
President Obama lives in a world all his own. It’s a world in which he’s widely beloved but also misunderstood, a world in which everyone is racist except for those who support him, a world in which his foreign policy has been heroically successful and his domestic policy even more so. President Obama lives in Fantasyland. In this Fantasyland, it’s not enough for President Obama to define the world around him in self-serving fashion. He must define his enemies the same way.
