The Patriot Post® · The Fauci Facts File — Never Again
“They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” —Benjamin Franklin (1775)
This day started with Senate Homeland Security Committee testimony from the mastermind of U.S. lockdowns, a sociopathic little man who, in an unprecedented act of empowerment, was given the keys to the kingdom. He used them to shut down the American economy and close schools serving tens of millions of students, among other totalitarian diktats.
Actually, former COVID Czar Anthony Fauci was scheduled for testimony before the committee headed by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), but, as predicted, he refused to answer any questions.
Despite the fact that Fauci was issued a preemptive blanket pardon by Joe Biden, he repeatedly invoked his Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate himself — which certainly implies there were incriminating acts outside the parameters of his Biden pardon.
For his part, Fauci claimed, “It pains me to do so because of the respect that I have for the legislative branch of government and my decades-long record of cooperating with Congress.”
Right.
Democrats on the committee asked no questions; they just delivered speeches praising Fauci and his insidious administrative assault on our nation.
The economic and cultural damage Fauci did is incalculable, which is why the longest column post in our 30-year archives is, by an order of magnitude, “COVID Timeline, Response and Recovery 2020-2025.” It is the most comprehensive timeline on the disastrous response, under Biden and Fauci, to what we tagged in 2020 as the “ChiCom Virus” pandemic, an acute respiratory illness caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
COVID was on the Centers for Disease Control radar in November 2019, after the first cases were reported in Wuhan, China. There were confirmed cases prior to that time, but Chinese communist dictator Xi Jinping ordered the evidence concealed — until it spread well beyond its point of origin, including early 2020 cases in the U.S.
As the second paragraph of our COVID timeline treatise makes clear: “The question will be, was this deception benign or strategically intentional? Determining the origin of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is critical to answering that question. We believe it will ultimately be determined that Xi Jinping’s communist regime was responsible for creation and release of the virus from their Wuhan Institute of Virology P4 lab, and the subsequent cover-up.”
“COVID” did not enter the national lexicon until Donald Trump called it what it was — a premeditated and calculated ChiCom attack on the U.S. and free-world economies.
Geopolitically, China was and remains the most significant threat to our nation, and its cover-up of SARS-CoV-2 not only devastated the world economy to its advantage but also exposed how the U.S. could respond to the next pandemic.
Unfortunately, hindsight being what it is, Trump made a serious error in his COVID response and recovery strategy by enabling Anthony Fauci, a member of his White House Coronavirus Task Force, to become the de facto “public health” strategist for the administration. Elevating Fauci to this position was the biggest blunder of Trump’s first term, but the threat was unprecedented. Of course, Trump did what any president should have done: rely on those who were, ostensibly, the brightest minds in disease management to chart a path forward.
But the net result of giving Fauci, an arrogant little bureaucrat, dominion over all those sectors Trump had spent the previous three years reshaping and restoring — in effect giving him control over the entire U.S. economy — cost Trump a second term and cost our nation irreparable damage.
Fauci’s early diktats, issued in collaboration with his Democrat sycophants, enabled them to implement not only their bulk-mail ballot fraud strategy nationwide but also their mass media blackout of the Biden ChiCom connection just before the election. That ensured Trump had little chance of defeating his cognitively impaired presidential opponent.
After Biden’s election, there were virtually no constraints on Fauci’s hubris and power.
And to silence any dissent, Biden’s cadres of free-speech censors implemented the most oppressive systemic suppression of free speech in American history.
The Biden/Harris regime also dropped a colossal debt bomb on America, a $5.1 trillion allocation of government spending within their grossly misnamed $1.9 trillion “American Rescue Plan,” $2.4 trillion “Build Back Better bumper sticker boondoggle, and the $800 billion ”Inflation Reduction Act.“ They filled a $300 billion economic hole created by the ChiCom Virus pandemic with $4.8 trillion in excess government spending. The direct result of that excess flood of money chasing too few goods and services was runaway inflation. Economics 101: Limited supply and/or excess demand results in higher prices.
Leftists never let a good crisis go to waste, and they took full advantage of this one to defeat Trump in 2020 and to implement their oppressive lockdowns and collateral statist agenda. And it was ALL orchestrated by the little troll, Anthony Fauci, who was the highest-paid bureaucrat in the history of our nation — paid more than the president of the United States.
Apparently, as a result of his pathological derangement and narcissism, Fauci believed himself to be the smartest man on the planet.
This week, with the release of some of Fauci’s bizarre diary entries during the COVID years, it is apparent just how deranged he was.
Examples of his self-aggrandizing assessment between 2020 and 2022 include:
Much praise for me. … Everyone in the WH is congratulating me. … The public adulation of me has been amazing with every young intern as well as seasoned veteran in the WH coming over to me congratulating me and thanking me for my work and even asking for selfies. … BIG DAY! … USA = 2888 [cases] with 58 deaths. … I did all 5 Sunday Shows today! … Press still hot and heavy about me. Multiple stories per day directly or indirectly involving me. … Multiple TV cameras and hundreds of camera clicks follow me. … Big front page article abut [sic] me appeared in the Washington Post. Very flattering. … It is not hyoperbole [sic] to say that today I am the most famous and talked about person in the country and one of the most recognizable peson [sic] in the world. … Apparently the WH is very upset that I am being profiled and it looks like I am putting down the POTUS and becoming a star that outshines him. … Praised by Barbara Bush in an interview and several celebrities. … They gathered a whole bunch of celebrities to sing to me and offer words of praise and congratulations: Orlando Bloom, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, Amy Poehler, Lily Tomlin, Sophia Bush, Matthew McConaughey, Steve Buscemi, Magic Johnson, Joan Baez, and many others. … It has been an extraordinary spring with all of these wonderful honors that I have received. This will have been my 58th honorary doctorate. … The number of texts and e-mail of thanks and praise … are stunning. … I was honored at the home of the French Ambassador. They sang my praises and we had a very elegant dinner.
Fauci also recorded a note from Joe Biden, who was sequestered in his basement: "You are our hero. Stay strong and healthy. We need you.”
As for his denial of his role in closing schools, he noted regarding the largest school system in the nation: “I spoke with Bill de Blasio (Mayor – NYC) and convinced him based on what I was saying publicly and my conversation tonight to close the NYC schools. I went on to tell him he should close the bars and restaurants in NYC. He said that he would base this on my recommendation.”
You get the pathetic picture. This was the little man behind the façade.
Sen. Paul, who released the diary transcripts in anticipation of Fauci’s Fifth Amendment charade, said, “What he wrote privately and what he told the country are two different stories.” Earlier this year, Paul declared of Fauci’s connection to the Wuhan lab, “Fauci [had] 40 years of placing all his lieutenants in all the positions, and then after 9/11, the funding for bio-research and bio-terrorism went through the roof, and he became the kingpin that had access to all of that money.”
Paul issued a statement outlining Fauci’s COVID malfeasance, and you can read more about it on his Reading Room website.
Despite his denials about the lab origins, Tony “I Represent Science” Fauci was already on record in January 2020 saying, “Now we know the market was not the source, it was the amplifier.” But he still refused to admit the source was the Wuhan lab.
Regarding that lab, Fauci declared in a 2021 Senate hearing, “The NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute,” but that was disputed by NIH principals. Moreover, after discovering emails about the NIH connection from Fauci to then-NIH Director Francis Collins instructing the latter to “delete this e-mail after you read it,” Paul referred Fauci to Biden’s DOJ for criminal prosecution twice. Predictably, though, no action was taken.
In other words, as Paul already knew for a fact, Fauci was lying about the origins of the virus. Trump’s former China expert, Peter Navarro, posted an assessment on Fauci’s orchestration of the institutional cover-up of the lab origin.
Paul also knew that Fauci lied repeatedly about his role in the economic shutdown once the disastrous implications became clear — when in fact he was the mastermind of the lockdowns.
Regarding Fauci’s prolific lies and the disastrous consequences, Fox News chief political analyst Brit Hume, whose perspective I trust more than any other media analyst, offered this assessment of his diary entries:
It reveals two things. One is that Fauci didn’t really believe the stuff that he was saying in terms of the origin of the disease. … He’s also denied repeatedly … that he was urging any shutdowns. These documents prove otherwise. He brags about getting New York City to shut down its schools and so on, about getting California to do the same thing. So he was very much an architect of what you may remember me calling … the worst public policy decision of my lifetime. … The FBI at the time had basically concluded that the lab leak was responsible for it. … I think of the damage that was done by the shutdowns to the U.S. economy, to kids’ education. I mean, I think it’s fair to argue that a lot of kids have not recovered and may never recover from being out of school for the length of time that Fauci wanted them to be because he was urging these shutdowns.
There is no question Fauci is responsible for the worst policy decision of my lifetime.
On Fauci’s pathological “little man” narcissism, Hume observed that it is revealing “how much time he spent in his diaries talking about how famous he’d become and all the glorification he was getting in the news media and how [fawning] a lot of news media people had gotten with him.”
Hume also noted that the rest of the print and cable networks ignored the Fauci diary revelations: “This is not getting the coverage it deserves. Is that because so many media luminaries were so chummy with the man at the center of a major medical controversy?”
Do ya think?
Esteemed political analyst Victor Davis Hanson concurred: “The Fauci files reveal not just a sociopathic narcissist, but also a pathological schizophrenic. For years, Fauci was assuring the public of Covid narratives that he either knew were untrue, or knew little about. He posed as a non-partisan, even as he collaborated with the leftwing cable news grandees and liberal columnists to hound his enemies and magnify his godhead.”
The COVID virus was deadly for those with certain age or comorbidity factors, but it did not take long for Fauci to rig the lethality numbers to ensure a flood of federal reimbursements to states and medical facilities.
Notably, those numbers were for people who died with the virus, not necessarily because of the virus. In other words, many people who died, though they may have had a positive COVID test, died from some other cause. A person could have died from injuries in a car accident, but if they tested positive for COVID (tests were given to everyone getting medical services), they were included in the pandemic death numbers, thereby ensuring hospital and other COVID-related reimbursements.
By any other standard, this would be called what it is: fraud.
Even Fauci indicated in his diary early on that he estimated COVID deaths to be much lower than he publicly stated, “more like 0.2-0.3% rather than 2.0%.”
Moreover, a Johns Hopkins University study found that devastating lockdowns only reduced COVID deaths by 0.2%.
Our readers expect much more from us than the ubiquitous Beltway echo-chamber churn that is recycled on other media platforms, and that includes our ChiCom Virus pandemic coverage.
We questioned Fauci’s federal mandates in response to COVID from the beginning, even though we were at peril of having our publications censored and our social media pages shut down.
To wit, in March 2020, we posted “Is the COVID-19 Cure Killing Us?” and “The ‘War on Virus’ — What’s Our Exit Strategy?.” In April, we posted “COVID-19 Was Made in China — Send Xi the Bill,” “Exposing the Leftmedia’s False CV19 Narrative,” and “Mr. President, Don’t Be the Poster Child of COVID Misery.”
Those columns were followed by “China’s P4 Lab and SARS-CoV-2 — The Evidence Mounts,” “Biden’s BIG Pandemic Lies,” and “The Latest Demo/ChiCom Virus Lies.”
No Beltway churn here…
What is next for Fauci?
It’s now clear why Biden issued this weasel a preemptive blanket pardon. It is also clear that Fauci invoked the Fifth because if he continued to lie, Biden’s pardon would not cover his sins.
So what’s the point?
First, one of the most perilous domestic threats to American Liberty in our nation’s history was Anthony Fauci.
Second, as noted economist Stephen Moore concludes, “Never again should we allow politicians and mad scientists to shut down our mighty economy.”
NEVER AGAIN!
