So, What’s the Good News?

You are among a very large and formidable body of Americans who rise to the exigencies of the times, those who stand fast and firm in the face of adversity.

“The right to freedom being the gift of God Almighty, it is not in the power of Man to alienate this gift, and voluntarily become a slave.” —Samuel Adams (1772)

Next week, in my annual Christmas message, I have the privilege of writing about the most significant Good News in the history of the world. That Good News is not temporal but eternal.

It will be a joyful reprieve to write that column. In a similar way, I enjoy writing about great people and great American traditions, which I’m able to do from time to time throughout the year. But those entries are the exception — most weeks I have to devote my time and energy exposing threats to American Liberty, some more perilous than others.

Your Patriot Post editorial team undertakes the same necessary exposition on those threats every day.

In difficult seasons like the present, I hear from some of our grassroots readers that they feel overwhelmed and under siege by the amount of “bad news” they see. I get it. I am acutely aware that the younger analysts on our team are concerned even during the best of times about the future their children will inherit — and that worry can be intrusive when one’s job is to analyze those threats day after day.

Wading through the leftist detritus would be discouraging to the core of our souls if we allowed ourselves for even a moment to lose sight of what defines us — eternal Truths, not temporal circumstances. Likewise, we all embrace the fact that Liberty is “endowed by our Creator,” a gift of God, and is thus also eternal, not temporal.

The reality is that the current domestic threat to Liberty is as perilous as any since President Ronald Reagan confronted the Swamp rats and enemies of our Republic during his tenure. Astoundingly, some of those rats are still leading the leftist charge, including Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi, who arrived in DC in 1973, 1981, and 1987, respectively.

And since the Reagan era, the power of the Leftmedia has become more pervasive with the help of their Big Tech free speech suppressors. We are documenting just how effective that speech suppression has been on social media platforms, particularly revelations from Elon Musk about election rigging at Twitter.

We don’t have the luxury of retreating from these often grim topics, nor from these formidable enemies, all of whom constantly and abjectly violate their sacred oaths “to support and defend” our Constitution. There are no smiley-face emojis for these issues.

As the “old man” on this team, I understand more viscerally the difficulties our great nation has endured in other eras — including the world wars and the economic calamities faced by my father’s Greatest Generation, and within my own time, the Soviet threat, Vietnam, and the cultural rot of the 1960s and ‘70s. My sense of hope for the future is bolstered by a strong historical context of what we Americans have faced and overcome in the past.

Some of our subscribers who feel overcome with bad news use our Mid-Day Snapshot just to scan titles and subtitles in order to get a sense of what is important on any given day. Frankly, that’s a good way to get a daily overview while avoiding a sense of inundation. That’s also why we include great humor memes, cartoons, and videos as part of our daily lineup and offer Monday’s Cartoons & Memes edition. Levity is important to all of us.

On the other hand, our “grasstop” activist subscribers across the nation consume every word of each Mid-Day Digest edition, top to bottom. For them, our analysis is critical to their roles as force multipliers within their own constituent groups and circles, and as part of the whole conservative line of defense.

While The Patriot Post reaches more than a million people directly, the indirect reach of our analysis is many times that.

You are among a very large and formidable body of Americans who, in the words of George Washington amid a string of defeats in our original quest for Liberty, “put forth new exertions and proportion our efforts to the exigency of the times.” You stand fast and firm in the face of adversity.

The 2022 election map is indicative of where we are, and with a few exceptions like the small rural populations of large geographic states like New Mexico and Maine, the majority our ranks are in the American heartland. The vast majority of leftists are dullard and dejected inhabitants of urban poverty plantations who should be mindful of the fact they depend on those in the heartland for their very subsistence.

The midterm election results were disappointing, but in 2024, Democrats will have more Senate seats exposed and whoever replaces Biden will have an uphill battle.

Regardless of the odds, it is on our shoulders, together, that the future of Liberty rests. We are bound by our “sacred honor” to that end and will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give in or give up. Tough times don’t last, but tough people do!

Since our inception, your Patriot Post team’s first objective has been to provide the ammo and tactical assistance needed for that fight. Now, as a primary touchstone of Liberty for tens of thousands of local and state grasstop influencers, we’re providing the most accurate and on-target analysis available in an arena that is increasingly flooded with noisy nonsense.

Some of you have been with us since the beginning and have supported us for many years. Many have recently joined our ranks — which are now growing faster than ever. We are grateful for each and every one of you.

Grassroots conservatives have always done the heavy lifting for Liberty in our communities and states, and supporting the Patriot Fund Year-End Campaign is the most cost-effective way to defend Liberty. As you know, we don’t publish from inside the Beltway, nor are we sustained by any political, special interest, or parent organization. Moreover, we accept NO advertising — which keeps our pages and publications clutter-free. More important, it helps us avoid the invisible editorial influence of advertising revenue.

Our mission and operations budgets are funded solely by the generosity of American Patriots like you.

For this reason, I humbly ask that you please support The Patriot Fund’s 2022 Year-End Campaign today.

Be heartened by the awesome power that has emboldened Patriots from the dawn of our nation, generations of Patriots who have understood, as Washington declared during the American Revolution, “Our cause is noble; it is the cause of all mankind.”

On behalf of your Patriot Post team, please support our mission to sustain Liberty in this generation and extend it to the next.
