Re: Marco Rubio: Live at the Acropolis

“A man of great vision that I didn’t realize lived in that person. Another Thomas Jefferson or George Washington in our midst. His leadership was hidden in politics and now has come out to shine a light for all of us.” —Texas

“God bless Rubio, and the upcoming Midterms” —New York

Re: Mamdani’s Revisionist, Anti-Israel History

“Zohran Mamdani is an avowed socialist, duly elected as mayor of New York, arguably the largest city in the nation. What kinds of fools are scattered around this nation that believe socialism is okay? It’s one step from communism! More and more of the Democratic Party are becoming socialists. The Republican Party had best get off its hind end and start fighting this treason. Do you not see the rapidly coming future? It will be hell on earth! Republicans, wake up and arm yourselves for this fading Constitutional Republic before it’s vanished.” —Colorado

“Gaza was the same size on October 7, 2023, as it was in 1948. There was no Occupied Territory. There was no oppression, as Gaza has been its own entity since 2005. Only Islamic terrorists build tunnels and bomb shelters for themselves, which are well stocked with food, water, medicine, electricity, and fuel, while the women and children are left to fend for themselves on the surface, while acting as human shields for the terrorists. As a rule, women and children are in the shelters while the men are on the surface protecting them.” —North Dakota

Re: Oh Look, Paris Is on Fire Again

“The time to really start worrying is when the leftist mobs bring out the tumbrels and the guillotines.” —Texas

“I was in Paris a few years ago when it was also on fire. The poor, frightened immigrants looking for a safe place to escape the wars in their home countries couldn’t wait to turn the city into something that resembled their home country. Clearly, bad people infiltrated the efforts of the genuine, serious people and derailed the movement. It is what happens when generous people think they can trust just about anyone. Save Paris and France; it has been and can be beautiful. Also save the world from murderous immigrants with ill intent. They are not hiding; they are invading.” —Washington

Re: SBC President: ‘The Pastors Need to Step Up’

“Pastors can make political statements. That, of course, is mostly ‘singing to the choir.’ What needs to happen is for righteous news media to call out the politicians who don’t follow the decrees of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” —Texas

“The Catholic Church is equally indifferent. When Maura Healey, a Catholic, signed a bill permitting the killing of babies at term, the Church didn’t react. Both myself and others wrote Archbishop Richard Henning of Boston and castigated him for not having reacted or responded to Maura Healey’s sin. The Archbishop never acknowledged our letters. But, unless the Lord intervenes, there is a very special place in Hell for Maura Healey when she passes from this world.” —Massachusetts

“Too many times I have seen Christians tend to avoid politics, stay out of it, don’t worry about voting, it’s in God’s hands. This nation would never exist if they were like that in the 17th-18th centuries.” —Texas

Re: Tax Cuts Did Not Cause the $2T Deficit

“Yes, Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. The government sold those of us on it by taking away a large portion of our paychecks and from the employers who hired us. Then the government stole the money inside Social Security reserves to spend it. How about when Congress did not approve the ability to start a private fund along with Social Security to lessen the amount required by Social Security? My accountant indicated that I would have had more retirement income from that than what I now receive from Social Security. Government should be held to the same standards. No special healthcare. No free lunches from lobbyists. Travel arrangements on their own dime and not from discretionary funds handed out to themselves. Let’s get the money back from fraud in government programs.” —Montana

“It’s past time to put the entire responsibility for anti-poverty programs, including funding, on the states. When they have to answer only to their own taxpayers, they will be more diligent in preventing fraud. Not only that, but the saner states will lead or drive their dependents out of poverty instead of making them comfortable on the dole, resulting in greater prosperity for all of their citizens. The federal government has been waging war on poverty for 65 years, and is itself becoming impoverished. In short, the federal government has lost that war, and it’s time to make a strategic withdrawal from the fight. Doing so will eliminate the other half of the deficit, and the economic gains from pushing people to work instead of living on the dole will help with the debt service.” —Minnesota

Re: Somali Gangs and Rampant Crime

“As long as Somalis refuse to assimilate, they will never be productive residents and citizens in Minnesota! Sending millions of dollars back to Somalia tells them they still support the corrupt government they fled! Gangs are ingrained in their communities! Following a violent religion does the soul no good! A little Jesus couldn’t hurt!” —South Carolina

Re: How Much Evil Is Sufferable?

“How much evil is sufferable? All of it, and always, until the evil comes after you. Then we pay attention. Then we hope we aren’t too late. But never mind that, for now — don’t forget there is some reality or game show on tonight.” —South Carolina

Re: Why Tariffs on China Protect Capitalism

“Until 1913, we the people ran the entire government of the revenue provided by collected tariffs. Since then, we have failed to keep track of the reckless spending that our elected representatives saddle us with. We could still lift the tax burden by the use of closely monitored spending and some reasonable distribution to the people from a tariff system. Let’s target individual participation in the entire economic system along with its possibilities.” —Washington

Re: The Demos’ Iran Midterm Alliance

“The Islamist influence in the U.S. — their pairing with Democrats and their useful idiots — is a perilous threat to our nation if we lose the House and Senate. Too few can see it coming.” —Texas

“Thanks for this well-written summary of today’s political dogfight. It is absolutely essential that America remains under Republican control. But this is only possible if conservative Americans vote. Staying home will only ensure Democratic control.” —Alabama

“We have a president who doesn’t sit back. Increased fuel prices raise the cost of everything, but short-term  discomfort in the scheme of things we can get through. Let’s not let the Democrats use it to destroy our Republic.” —Illinois

“Thanks for the reminder that oil was over $100/BBL many more days under Obama and Biden than under Trump — and at inflation-adjusted prices, it was MUCH more expensive then!” —California
