A most intriguing development has occurred on the immigration front regarding the Somali population that has taken over Minneapolis, Minnesota. In Operation Twin Shield, conducted September 19-28, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) teamed up to begin addressing the fraud that has been committed by Somali migrants in order to come to the U.S.

According to a press release, “USCIS officers focused on more than 1,000 cases that had fraud or ineligibility indicators, conducted over 900 site visits and in-person interviews, and found evidence of fraud, non-compliance, or public safety or national security concerns in 275 cases — 44 percent of cases interviewed.”

Many of these were marriage fraud. This is extremely interesting because there is another Somali-born asylum seeker and high-profile U.S. congresswoman who is accused of something similar. I am, of course, talking about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who allegedly married her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, to commit immigration fraud.

Scott W. Johnson, a retired Minneapolis attorney, explained the fraud in the New York Post: “To this day, the reason for her marriage to Elmi — from whom, she says, she separated in 2011, but which didn’t officially end until 2017 — remains unclear. One Somali source told the Daily Mail that Omar claimed she was trying to help her brother get US student loans. Other Somalis in Minneapolis told me that Elmi had been living an openly gay lifestyle in London, as amply depicted in then-public social media posts.”

Johnson has watched Somalis take over his city for the past three decades. If you flood a metropolis with 100,000 foreigners, it’s going to change its fabric. Unfortunately, Minneapolis is now practically a colony of Somalia, an African nation that is happy to have conquered an American city so bloodlessly. Heck, they even have a representative in Congress who is Somali first and America last.

Minneapolis isn’t the only American city that has been taken over by foreigners and their Islamic beliefs. According to Data USA, 30% of Dearborn residents were born outside the U.S. A few weeks ago, the mayor of Dearborn was filmed reaming out a pastor for objecting to naming a street after a terrorist. Moreover, residents are calling out the city council because mosques are blasting the call to prayer at 5:30 a.m., breaking sound ordinances.

Arab natives have been coming to Dearborn since the early 1900s to work in Ford’s assembly lines, but the original immigrants were Christian. Subsequent infusions of migrants from Iraq, Lebanon, Gaza, and Yemen have comprised Muslims fleeing war.

Instead of assimilating into American culture, pieces of the country have been carved out as homelands for Islamists. And now, their old-world grievances are being carried over to shape local, state, and federal policy.

Europe is Exhibit A for what non-assimilation leads to. There are grooming gangs, stabbings, and other violence, and Jews are threatened with arrest for looking too Jewish in front of Muslims. Unchecked mass immigration has a grave human cost.

Thankfully, the immigration fraud investigation in Minneapolis is far from over, and it should be making Congresswoman Omar nervous. The next burning question is this: If Omar has committed immigration fraud, can she be deported? If so, will the federal government have the courage to do it?
