British Citizens Outraged by Heinous Crime
A video was just released of a white college freshman bleeding out from a stab wound in handcuffs because his Sikh assailant falsely accused him of racism.
Henry Nowak was an 18-year-old boy who had just finished his first semester at Southampton College. The clean-cut accounting and finance major was out celebrating with his friends when he got into an altercation with two strangers. One of those strangers, Vickrum Digwa, stabbed Nowak.
Digwa is a Sikh and non-white immigrant to the United Kingdom. This crucial information was concealed when the stabbing attack was initially in the news back in December. It’s also important to note here that while the rest of the UK is banned from carrying any kind of knife, Sikhs are the exception to the rule because carrying a Sikh blade, known as the kirpan, is part of their religion.
Before the police arrived at the scene, Digwa’s brother called emergency services to report a hate crime, and their mother came and took the knife to hide it. When police arrived, the Digwa brothers lied, telling the police that Nowak was the aggressor and ultimately convincing them to go after the white victim by falsely accusing him of racism.
Nowak pleaded with the police, trying to tell them he’d been stabbed and that he was the victim, yet the officers heartlessly brushed off his emergency while they put him in handcuffs. The eight-inch Sikh blade had punctured Nowak’s heart and chest, prompting him to say, “I can’t breathe.” Horrifically, he bled out from his wounds and died on the ground while having his rights read to him.
Digwa was eventually arrested, and on Monday he was sentenced to a minimum 21 years in prison. This is not justice. For his crime, Digwa’s sentence should have been much harsher. Evidence points to a racially motivated killing, which would entail a life sentence under UK law.
After Digwa’s sentencing, the evidence was made public, including the horrific video of the police handcuffing the dying young man. It was also revealed that Digwa is a racial rabble-rouser, and even his family worried that something like this might happen because of his views. Moreover, the blade that Digwa used was not a kirpan but rather a much longer blade — and therefore illegal for him to carry. Yet another reason to add more time to his sentence.
The release of the devastating footage resulted in riots in Southampton, where Nowak was a student and where he was murdered. Citizens in the UK are up in arms that police are so afraid to be seen as racist that they allowed such a horrific miscarriage of justice to occur. One of the officers involved in Nowak’s arrest has resigned; the rest remain anonymous and are being treated as witnesses for now.
This is actual systemic racism at work — the consequence of anti-colonialism and anti-white bias within the UK.
Nigel Farage of the Reform UK party said, “The fear of being called racist was greater than dealing with Henry Nowak’s murder. We should respond to this with pure cold rage. Britain’s historic way of life is being thrown away.”
Farage is voicing the opinion of many within the UK who are outraged on many fronts. First, the fear of being called a racist led to a miscarriage of justice and the horrific death of Nowak. Second, UK authorities waited to release information on this killing until they thought the backlash would be relatively minor. Third, the consequences of importing mass migrants are the killing of sons and the raping of daughters. Nowak’s killing is the culmination of all these grievances, which the UK government has ignored for years.
One has to wonder if this is finally the sparking point of resistance for the British people.
Prime Minister Kier Starmer’s statement was par for the course. “This an awful, shocking case,” he said. “Henry’s loved ones have gone through the trauma of a long trial and endured Henry’s killer making up appalling claims about their son who was thoughtful, kind and deeply loved. It is right that the IOPC is investigating the police’s response to his senseless murder. And we must end the cycle of tragedy by tackling the horror of knife crime. Henry’s family, friends, his university and the city of Southampton will continue to feel his loss, and our thoughts will always be with them [emphasis added].”
Starmer’s statement is worded as if the knife was the problem. “Knife crime” isn’t the issue at hand. The real issue is the wokeness that has deconstructed the justice system in the UK. Race hoaxes have deadly consequences. And when you only acknowledge the material (the knife) and neglect to address the spiritual (the sinful nature of humans), the cycle will only get worse and the authorities will slide further and further away from justice.
For Americans, Nowak’s killing has haunting strains of recent deaths. His dying words, “I can’t breathe,” bring to mind George Floyd. More pertinently, his case is like that of Iryna Zarutska, whose unprovoked murder exposed the ugly consequences of left-wing policy (like refusing to keep criminals locked up).
Henry Nowak died without care or dignity. He was senselessly attacked and then murdered while those who were supposed to help ignored his plight. Time will tell if this is the breaking point for Britain. Regardless, for Americans watching across the pond, this is yet another warning sign that leftist policies have murderous results.
