“The Supreme Court may have tied the hands of Congress on who can be considered a citizen of the U.S., but it did not limit immigration control. There are a few things that can greatly limit those born here from getting citizenship, including preventing anyone who is nearing childbirth from entering the country. If you are anywhere past the sixth month of pregnancy, guess what? Turn around and go home. We may not be able to limit those already here from having anchor babies, but we can prevent third-trimester pregnant women from entering the country to begin with. It just means keeping the border secure!” —Illinois
