Muslim ‘Asylum Seeker’ Likely Murdered American Partner in Ireland

A New York native living in Killarney was found strangled and bludgeoned in her home — and her companion appears to have fled the country.

Jamey Carney, an American expat living in Ireland, was recently found dead in her home. She had been strangled, her head bludgeoned, and her body covered with a blanket in her bedroom. Her significant other — the person suspected of murdering her — is a Jordanian Muslim who was seeking asylum.

How does a tragedy like this occur? And why should we pay special attention to it?

First, let’s start with some background.

The 43-year-old Carney is from Westchester County, New York. In 2021, this third-generation Irish-American moved back to Killarney, Ireland, in the hopes of finding “a beautiful country with like-minded people to raise her daughter,” according to her cousin, Ryan Fox. Carney worked for a healthcare company, and she and her daughter had become a well-liked part of the picturesque Killarney community.

Politically, Carney was extremely left-wing. She was pro-Palestine and anti-ICE — sentiments she displayed for all to see on social media. It was at a “Free Palestine” march a year and a half ago where she met Ahmad Al-Saqar, whom she started dating. Al-Saqar came to Ireland via the European pipeline; he lived in government-allotted housing in Killarney when they met but spent more and more time at Carney’s house.

According to Husam Salha, Al-Saqar’s former roommate, the couple had gone to a mosque and gotten married. “In Islam, when you get married, you have to let all the people know that you are husband and wife,” Salha told the Irish Independent.

On the night of July 6, neighbors heard Carney in a heated argument with someone. The next day, Carney’s 13-year-old daughter found her mother dead in the bedroom.

Al-Saqar fled Ireland in the early hours of July 7, long before Carney’s body was discovered and police were notified. He caught a bus to Dublin and then a flight to Istanbul, Turkey. Al-Saqar is still at large, and INTERPOL is working to track him down for questioning regarding the death of Carney. It is unlikely that Al-Saqar can be extradited without criminal charges. His fleeing the country, however, is extremely suspect.

Why is this story significant?

Leftism has convinced its adherents that Islam is a harmless, misunderstood religion. It spins the fairy tale that Islamic and Western cultures are compatible. Leftism also purports to fight for the rights of women while ignoring the glaringly discordant ideology of Islamism, wherein women are not people but the property of their husbands, and their main duty is to serve and cater to men in exchange for protection. Western women, in particular, are viewed as potential sex slaves because of the teachings of the Quran. Leftists dismiss or ignore the plight of women under Islamist control in places like Iran and Afghanistan while chanting “Free Palestine” and standing with Hamas “freedom fighters” (read: terrorists), Hezbollah, and more.

This was the water in which Carney treaded. The people she surrounded herself with likewise believed that men who practice Islam and march for a global intifada are peaceful and freedom-loving. She, and by extension her fellow travelers, also likely believed that Gaza has been colonized and is therefore in need of left-wing saviors against the evil “white” Israelis. Carney was a lamb primed for slaughter.

If it is proven that Al-Saqar did indeed kill Carney — and his fleeing the country isn’t a good sign of his innocence — then his murderous instinct can likely be traced back to jihadist teachings that permit honor killings and treating infidels as less than human.

The wider issue is that allowing a bunch of largely unvetted and itinerant migrants from third-world countries into the West has proven deadly time and again. Carney’s murder would be the third high-profile attack by a third-world migrant in Western Europe over the past few months. (See Henry Nowak and Stephen Ogilvie.)

How many more people have to die or be horrifically abused by migrants before Europeans get it through their thick skulls that mass migration is literally killing them?

As for Jamey Carney’s murder, let’s hope that whoever committed this heinous crime is brought swiftly to justice. Her death is a tragedy, and the politics adds extra wretchedness to the whole situation.
