The 2020 election hinged on a lot of things, not least of which was Democrats exploiting COVID to grossly expand early voting and bulk-mail ballots. That greatly undermined the election’s integrity. Another critical factor was Hunter Biden’s laptop, which revealed how Joe “The Big Guy” Biden had run a corrupt and lucrative influence-peddling scheme involving his son’s strategic placement on Chinese and Ukrainian boards.

Or it would have revealed that if Big Tech and Big Media hadn’t suppressed it so voters wouldn’t find out.

This isn’t news to Patriot Post readers. What might be news, however, is Twitter Files: Part 7. In the latest drop yesterday, journalist Michael Shellenberger reveals “how the FBI & intelligence community discredited factual information about Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings both after and before The New York Post revealed the contents of his laptop on October 14, 2020.” In other words, the deep state election interference didn’t start with countering the news, but with pre-butting it.

By way of history, Shellenberger gives a brief timeline: In December 2019, John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of a Delaware computer store, contacted the FBI about Hunter’s abandoned laptop, which the FBI took soon thereafter. Had it not been for the fact that Mac Isaac made a copy of the hard drive, that would have been the end of the story because the FBI’s clear intent was to make sure the laptop and its revealing contents never saw the light of day.

When Mac Isaac came to that conclusion after months of silence from the FBI, he turned over the hard drive copy to Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump’s attorney, who then gave it to the New York Post. The Post published its blockbuster in October 2020.

But, Shellenberger notes, because Giuliani “was under FBI surveillance at the time,” the FBI knew about the exchange and set about to undermine reporting on it.

According to Shellenberger, “Shortly before 7 pm ET on October 13, Hunter Biden’s lawyer, George Mesires, emails JP Mac Isaac” to advise that the Post’s story “would be published the next day.” He continued, “At 9:22 pm ET (6:22 PT), FBI Special Agent Elvis Chan sends 10 documents to Twitter’s then-Head of Site Integrity, Yoel Roth, through Teleporter, a one-way communications channel from the FBI to Twitter.”

“Every single fact” in the Post’s story “was accurate,” says Shellenberger. “And yet, within hours, Twitter and other social media companies censor the NY Post article, preventing it from spreading and, more importantly, undermining its credibility in the minds of many Americans.” That’s because the FBI intervened to manipulate Big Tech companies that were already vigorously anti-Trump and pro-Biden.

It wasn’t just the FBI intervening with a phone call or a meeting either. The bureau “reimbursed” Twitter more than $3 million for the company’s help in targeting “foreign influence” operations. Coordination continued at least until August 2022. Moreover, we recently wrote about former FBI general counsel Jim Baker after he was fired from Twitter for interfering. But he was one of many FBI-to-Twitter transfers.

“The deputy chief of staff of the FBI went to Twitter. In fact, there were so many FBI officials at Twitter that they had their own internal messaging system,” Shellenberger said later Monday. “They actually had their own cue-card to kind of train people going from FBI to Twitter.”

There were so many FBI folks at Twitter, we’re surprised they didn’t launch a kidnapping plot or an Insurrection™.

In one sense, the bigger story of Twitter Files: Part 7 is something we already knew: The FBI colluded with Twitter to interfere in the 2020 election and help Joe Biden win.

The more important takeaway, however, is to step back and take in the larger picture. Democrats have deployed their own agents at the FBI, Twitter, Facebook, and the Leftmedia to spread misinformation and disinformation, to suppress true information, and to win elections by any means necessary. The last two presidential elections (and arguably two midterms) have been corrupted by this cadre of nefarious players.

All the while, Democrats have the gall to scream that conservatives are the real threat to “democracy.” The truth is that dishonest leftist players are the ones jeopardizing our Republic.
