Patriotism Applies to Business, Too
It is your hometown. You have lived there for decades and raised your children there. A few blocks from your house, in an open-air shopping center, two restaurants sit next door to each other. One is an outlet for a massive chain that is a subsidiary of a public-stock multinational corporation. It has unisex bathrooms and willfully hires immigrants here illegally to clean them — and serve food.

Donald Trump isn’t the only one hiring this week. So are House conservatives, who just gave the party a huge boost by tapping longtime FRC friend and supporter, Congressman Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) to head up the influential Freedom Caucus. Mark, who takes over for another good friend and stalwart, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), has been a rising star in the Republican Party since his election just four years ago. A successful businessman in his own right, he saw the need for principled leadership in Congress after years of involvement with FRC, running for the seat in North Carolina’s 11th District where he won in a very crowded primary.
Majority Rule Equals Tyranny
It is alleged that Hillary Clinton won a popular vote majority. Therefore, if the nation were not burdened with the antiquated Electoral College, anguished and freaked-out Americans whine, she, instead of Donald Trump, would be the next president of the United States. You say, “Hold it. Before you go further, Williams, what do you mean it is alleged that Clinton received most of the popular vote? It’s a fact.” I say “alleged” because according to Gregg Phillips of True the Vote, an estimated 3 million noncitizens voted. Presumably, those votes went to Clinton.

Election Integrity Matters
President-elect Donald Trump blamed his loss of the popular vote on election fraud. While that’s not likely, it doesn’t matter. Vote fraud is a serious problem that can subvert elections. The Trump administration should put electoral integrity at the top of its agenda.

He is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Daily Caller and is one of the clearest-thinking contributors to Fox News. One of the things I like best about him is that, in spite of its having become a trademark of his, the good taste that often comes with maturity finally prevailed and he gave up bow-ties, once and for all.”

The Sensitivity Police Strike Again
The word “inappropriate” is increasingly used inappropriately. It is useful to describe departures from good manners or other social norms, such as wearing white after Labor Day or using the salad fork with the entree. But the adjective has become a splatter of verbal fudge, a weasel word falsely suggesting measured seriousness. Its misty imprecision does not disguise, it advertises, the user’s moral obtuseness.

Planned Prosecution for Planned Parenthood
It’s been a rough four weeks for Planned Parenthood. First, it watched the shocking defeat of the most pro-abortion candidate in the history of presidential nominees. But things went from bad to worse this week when the group that thought it escaped punishment for selling baby parts for profits learned it was being recommended for prosecution from the House’s Select Panel on Infant Lives.
