There are times you wish you were wrong about things you spoke out about; that they would not come true. I’m (normally) not the type to brag and say, “I told you so!” Hoping you’re wrong but finding it is much worse than you ever imagined is hard. Such is the state of higher education in our country.

For years, I’ve expressed concern over the direction our universities were going. Education was being replaced with indoctrination. The radicals of the 1960s and ‘70s who took over college campuses during the Vietnam War are now tenured professors filling our kids’ minds with Marxist doctrine. Everything parents taught their children growing up was replaced with anti-America propaganda. Parents pay enormous amounts of money, and this is the return on their investment.

I sometimes received strong pushback from friends who said our schools are good. A lot of the pushback came from teachers. I understand. Sometimes, it’s hard to look critically at a profession you love. Many good, even great, teachers desire to shape and mold the minds of their students to be our future leaders.

As much as we might want to hope that what we’re seeing on college campuses today is an aberration, each day, it seems the insanity only spreads to other schools in other states. Now, there are thousands of students across the nation screaming: “Death to Israel!” “Death to America!” “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!” “Intifada!” (revolution). That’s what happens when students have been taught to feel, not think.

I wonder how many of these campus radicals realize what these words really mean. Do they realize that Hamas is calling for the extermination of the Jewish people? Are they even listening when the leaders of Hamas say they don’t want a two-state solution, rather they want Israel destroyed? Do they even hear what they’re saying when they’re screaming at Jewish students, “We will repeat October 7 over and over and over until the Jewish people are exterminated”?

I hope most of them are just ignorant and looking for their 15 minutes of fame. But each day, the situation gets worse. It’s only a matter of time before these protests turn violent. Where are the adults while all of this is taking place? Administrators treat these students as if they were children throwing a tantrum because they didn’t get a cookie.

Their warnings are hollow because each time they threaten the protesters with a deadline, they move the goalpost when they refuse to budge. How about the Biden administration — where are its savvy geniuses in all of this? I’ll tell you: They’re hoping they can keep these idiots voting for Democrats in November. Joe Biden is throwing Israel under the bus to satisfy the radicals who want to destroy America. The strategy of feeding the crocodile, hoping it’ll eat you last, is not going to work.

We’ve quoted former Defense Secretary Robert Gates before: Biden “has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” Because of his failures, the world is seeing disaster after disaster — Afghanistan, Ukraine, Israel, open borders, and crime, to name a few. His weakness emboldens our enemies and the chickens have come home to roost. Washington, DC, does not hold the answers, but the Word of God does.
