From China With Love
Tim Walz’s alleged romance with the daughter of a ChiCom official is the latest Democrat connection with China.
What is it with Democrats chumming with Chinese Communists?
“Tim Walz had a secret fling with the daughter of a high-ranking Communist official during his 1989 teaching stint in China,” reports the UK Daily Mail.
They allegedly kept their romance secret for fear that Jenna Wang’s father would “disown her for fraternizing with a westerner.” She says she dreamt of marriage, but Walz didn’t propose. Ultimately, because she said “Tim’s behavior was very selfish,” their relationship ended with her feeling “cheap and common, as if I was being treated like a prostitute.”
Good thing Democrats maintain such high respect for women and dogmatically advocate abortion to fix it.
Don’t get me wrong — if this story is true and not just another phony October surprise, Walz’s romantic fling when he was in his early 20s is not that different from the poor decisions many people make at that age. Well, except for the Chinese Communist part.
My point here isn’t to condemn Walz for this relationship or even his travel to China. After all, I traveled to China for two weeks in 2000 to visit my American fiancée, now wife, who spent a year as an English teacher there, sharing the Gospel whenever possible. We managed to avoid cavorting with Communist officials, and we’ve never been back.
The point is the connections Walz and other Democrats have with China, America’s foremost geopolitical foe. (It is not Iran, as Kamala Harris laughably and erroneously asserted recently.)
The Not-So-Great Walz of China has traveled to the People’s Republic more than 30 times, including for his honeymoon — just not during the Tiananmen Square massacre of 1989, which he falsely claimed because he’s a self-professed “knucklehead.” That was one of many autobiographical lies he has uttered, though by no means the most consequential. NBC News tells us that Walz is tough on China, but color me skeptical.
Let’s consider a few other episodes of Democrats’ ChiCom connections.
California Democrat Representative Eric Swalwell had an affair with ChiCom spy Fang Fang between 2011 and 2015. He sat on the powerful House Select Committee on Intelligence until then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy booted him.
North Carolina Democrat Representative Don Davis likewise has faced scrutiny for his close ties to China. New York Governor Kathy Hochul employed a Chinese spy. The Chinese operate police stations in Democrat cities, Confucius Institutes at leftist-controlled universities, fly spy balloons over America, and buy American land, often near U.S. military bases. The ChiComs steal American intellectual property and jobs. Their hackers even targeted phones used by Donald Trump and JD Vance.
Leftists pretend to freak out when Trump calls Xi Jinping “brilliant,” but they blindly trusted China during the coronavirus pandemic despite ChiCom lies about everything from its laughably low death toll to the origin of the virus itself. The Leftmedia hysterics when Trump called it the “China Virus” were something to behold.
Those same leftists somehow don’t mind all the Democrat connections — last and not least of which is the Biden family’s lucrative business dealings there. Hunter Biden made a lot of money there selling influence with Joe Biden, and Biden-Harris administration policy toward Beijing has been dangerously weak.
Gavin Newsom, not Kamala Harris, might be Beijing’s preferred candidate, but you have to think that the Walz connection is going to be a problem if he and Harris win next week.
