Healthcare.gov by the Numbers

There’s been a lot of talk on the trouble customers have experienced trying to enroll in ObamaCare, but a new analysis reveals just how bad it’s really been. According to Compete, a web traffic analytical firm, of the 9.47 million individuals who visited Healthcare.gov in its first week, just 1%, or 36,000 consumers, completed the enrollment process. Compete says, “Healthcare.gov was clearly unprepared to handle the huge spike in traffic witnessed on October 1st when it was visited by .9% (or 1 in 114) of everyone online in the U.S. This is roughly equivalent to the daily traffic on Target.com.” Yet officials had more than three years to get it right. And even then, the product HHS offers pales in comparison to what you’ll find at Target.
