SIX Enrolled on First Day
Finally, a glimpse at the pathetic numbers.
No wonder the administration is keeping the O'Care enrollment numbers a secret. According to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services documents obtained by the House Oversight Committee, a mere 6 individuals successfully enrolled within 24 hours of Healthcare.gov’s launch. That’s no typo. By the end of the following day, a total of 248 people had managed to sign up. Officials have thus far only mentioned that millions of folks had visited the website, but no wonder they have refused to disclose any official data – they need to find a way to spin the numbers first. As CBS News notes, “The health care exchanges need to average 39,000 enrollees a day to meet the goal of seven million by March 1.”
