More Than 3.5M Already Cancelled
George Will offers some insight.
The AP reports, “At least 3.5 million Americans have been issued [insurance] cancellations,” but “data is unavailable in half the states” – i.e., millions more have likely seen their plans terminated. Predictably, the fiasco is being blamed on insurers. George Will offers this insight on BO’s play: “There’s an old axiom in Washington: If you don’t like the news, make some of you own. So, the president went to Boston, and with utter predictability, turned this into an attack on insurance companies – ‘bad apple insurers’ – whose sin was selling customers policies that customers wanted but that the administration thinks they shouldn’t want.”
