Obama Omits 'Under God' Again

BO still endeavoring end run around God!

Nov. 19, 2013

In Ken Burns’ Web dedication to the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, Barack Obama, in his recitation of the address, omitted “under God.” The use of those words is sometimes disputed, but Lincoln’s verbatim delivery of the address was transmitted by wire to The New York Times and other newspapers the day Lincoln delivered it. Lincoln said, “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom,” but Obama said, “that this nation shall have a new birth of freedom.” For the record, Ken Burns recited it correctly. George W. Bush was also among the handful of participants who recited the address for Burns, and President Bush recited it correctly. Notably, even Democrat National Chairwoman, ultra-leftists Debbie Wasserman Schultz, recited it correctly.

Of course, Obama has a long history of omitting references to God, such as his repeated omission of “endowed by our Creator” when referencing the Declaration of Independence.
