Hawaii’s Exchange Waste
Bad rate of return.
Many state ObamaCare exchanges are following the disastrous lead of their federal big brother. Hawaii, for example, spent $120 million on its exchange only to enroll a paltry 4,300 people in the first four months. Granted, the state already had a high rate of insured people because of a 40-year-old state law requiring employers to provide insurance, but the very blue state was also given $205 million in federal money for its exchange. So what happened to the other $85 million? Based on the current math, that’s only going to cover another 3,000 enrollees. Success?
