Two Trips, $12 Million
Price tag on Hawaii trips isn’t too hot.
In the midst of Obama’s anemic economic recovery, taxpayers are doling out precious millions of dollars to supplement the First Family’s junkets, and we now have a better estimation of just how much money is being expended. According to documents obtained by Judicial Watch, the Obamas’ 17-day vacation in December totaled $7,781,361.30, the cost of which excludes accommodations like rooms for his entourage and security protocols. That calculation tentatively jumps to $11.8 million when coupled with their trip to the Aloha State in 2012. Additionally, last year’s Africa tour came in at $8,104,224. That’s roughly $20 million picked from Americans’ wallet’s – likely millions more all things considered – for just three fun-filled excursions. Meanwhile, ordinary Americans continue to suffer.
