All Quiet on the Home Front
Not much prevention.
A year ago, two lone-wolf terrorists detonated pressure-cooker bombs yards from the Boston Marathon’s finish line. During the manhunt, Boston residents huddled inside as armored cars rolled down their streets. A year later, runners once again crossed the finish line Monday, Bostonians showed their resiliency, and an AP report says the government has done little since the attack except to recommend federal agencies communicate better with local law enforcement. With the glut of intelligence organizations since 9/11 – the CIA, NSA, FBI, NYPD spying on Muslims in the greater New York area – it’s hard to imagine what new government program could be started to fight lone wolf terror. Perhaps S.H.I.E.L.D.? We nominate Stan Lee to head the program.
