Overheard at ‘Road to Majority’
Sound bites from value-voters conference.
The Faith and Freedom Coalition is hosting its conference, “Road to Majority,” in the great swampland of DC June 19 to 21. The likes of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee and House Majority Leader-elect Kevin McCarthy are scheduled to speak. For example, father of Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), Rafael Cruz, told the value-voters gathered to “stop electing the village idiot.” Cruz continued, “It’s about time for us to stop being politically correct and we become biblically correct.” Meanwhile, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) told attendees Congress is the problem. “I can tell you without exaggeration that I’ve met the enemy, and the enemy is too often us,” he said. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said, “To fix our broken government it’s not enough simply to roll back ineffective policies that concentrate power in Washington – we must also roll out bold conservative reforms that empower the people closest to the problems to test and refine solutions that work best for their communities.” More…
