‘Scalia Law’ vs. Sharia Law
MSNBC contributor attacks SCOTUS ruling.
Following Monday’s contentious Supreme Court ruling in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., MSNBC contributor John Fugelsang reacted to the decision, despicably tweeting, “The Supreme Court #HobbyLobby ruling proves once again that Scalia Law is a lot like Sharia Law.” Hobby Lobby fought to liberate itself from government coercion. Despite the owners’ religious objections, which is protected under the First Amendment, the Department of Health and Human Services was going to force the for-profit company to pay for abortifacients anyway. The Left has it backwards. This battle is about freedom of choice – something supposedly heralded by the Party of Inclusion – against government fiat. Which one of these sounds more like Sharia Law?
