New Study on Universities Sheds Light on America’s Decline
America’s decline is most evidently traced to our regressive education system. The concepts of Liberty and morals taught to the youths of generations past have been hijacked by those inclined to indoctrinate society’s most vulnerable. Case in point: “A new study released [last] Wednesday from the American Council of Trustees and Alumni titled ‘What Will They Learn?’ found that just 18 percent of colleges and universities require a single course in American history or government,” reports the Washington Examiner. “[J]ust 3 percent require an economics course for graduation.” Is it really any wonder why, despite the clamoring, little is done to confront our nation’s fiscal problems? As George Santayana once said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” One other noteworthy finding from the study, again from the Examiner: “87 percent of surveyed colleges required a science course.” This isn’t coincidence. Today’s anti-religious liberals teach that anything and everything can be explained by science, which correlates with our culture’s misconception that, if it feels right, then you should have at it.
