National Cathedral to Hold Prayer Service … for Muslims
Coexist? The popular bumper sticker is coming to the National Cathedral – in a manner of speaking. The Washington Post reports, “Washington National Cathedral, known for presidential funerals and other major spiritual services, will host a Muslim prayer service for the first time Friday. The cathedral, part of the Episcopal Church, has long held high-profile interfaith events, and some mosques hold services in synagogues or churches if they need overflow space. But organizers said Monday that they are seeking to make a statement by having Muslim leaders come and hold their midday service in such a visible Christian house of worship.” Muslims are brutally murdering Christians and blowing up their churches around the world as we write this, so perhaps this is a laudable example of Christians turning the other cheek. But we’re inclined to think not. Rather it’s more of the same leftist, politically correct “tolerance” with which we’ve become all too familiar over the years, elevating the Religion of Peace™ beyond its deserved place. More…
