Two Alleged Black Panthers Charged With Bomb Plot
Two alleged members of the New Black Panther Party were arrested three days before the grand jury announcement Nov. 24 for making straw purchases on two handguns and attempting to buy pipe bombs. According to the duo’s indictment, the men who go by the aliases “Brandon Muhammed” and “Brother Ali” tried to buy two .45ACP handguns from Cabela’s between Nov. 1 and Nov. 13. Not only did they try to gear up for some planned unrest, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the men bought two inert pipe bombs from federal investigators. They would have bought two more, but one of the men’s girlfriend didn’t have enough money on her EBT card. See? You can buy more than beer and cigarettes with those things. Anyway, the two alleged Panthers were going to allegedly try and murder the St. Louis County Prosecutor and the Ferguson Police Chief, according to the Post-Dispatch. And just for kicks and giggles, they were also planning on sneaking a pipe bomb past the airport-level security at the Gateway Arch and try to bomb that as well.
