Guess Who’s Toxic For Magazine Covers
Besides being toxic for conservatives, Hillary Clinton is bad for the magazine industry. When Clinton graced the weekly celebrity magazine People, that edition sold only 503,890 copies. That edition earned less than half the sales of People’s most popular edition that featured comedian Robin Williams after his death. According to the article in AdWeek that itemized the most lucrative covers, “What didn’t work? Politics and current events. People’s worst-selling cover was Hillary Clinton, while the Winter Olympics in Sochi were a dud for Us Weekly.” Of course readers who keep up with the Kardashians or gush over Kate Middleton would be turned off by anything even mimicking gritty political coverage.
