Two PA Lawmakers Finally Indicted for Bribery
Two Pennsylvania Democrats were indicted for allegedly accepting bribes in cash and jewelry in a sting operation. Democrat state representatives Ron Waters and Vanessa Brown are accused of accepting bribes to change their votes to oppose a voter identification bill back in 2012. In March, it looked like the investigation into the lawmakers stalled because, as J. Christian Adams at PJ Media writes, “The Democrat attorney general of Pennsylvania, Kathleen Kane, refused to proceed, saying that the case lacked merit. The Philadelphia district attorney, however, took on the case and indicted the legislators today.” Based off that, it appears the corruption in Pennsylvania politics is not confined to the legislature.
