White House: ‘There Will Be a Price’ for Netanyahu’s Visit

Press Secretary Josh Earnest reacted to news that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will address Congress by slamming Speaker John Boehner’s invitation as “a departure from … protocol.” Given Barack Obama’s numerous breaches of protocol, most recently de facto amnesty, it’s somewhat ironic the White House is suddenly concerned with sequence. The full extent of Team Obama’s frustration boiled over on Friday after one official suggested there will be retribution for the visit. The Times of Israel reports an anonymous senior-level U.S. official exclaimed, “We thought we’ve seen everything. But Bibi [Netanyahu] managed to surprise even us.” The official added, “There are things you simply don’t do. He spat in our face publicly and that’s no way to behave. Netanyahu ought to remember that President Obama has a year and a half left to his presidency, and that there will be a price.” How quickly Democrats forget the numerous times Obama and Co. spat in Israel’s face, not to mention the price Israel is already paying for the paper tiger currently occupying the Oval Office. Does that “price” include Israel’s disintegration from an Iranian nuclear warhead? Just a few months ago, another member of Obama’s staff called Netanyahu “a chickens–t.” It’s not a stretch to say the two individuals may very well be one in the same.
